I have to say I have mixed feelings about this book. On the one hand, I want to see what will happen. On the other, I've had a bad experience with final books in dystopian series.

I'm at 60% and kinda dreading the end...

Finished it, and I was happy with the way things ended.

Oh wow now I'm excited to go along! I started today and I'm on page 65. I feel so sad for Day and Eden, looking at his little brother, worried that he might be gone. And for June, who doesn't know Day's illness but could see behind his lies and what he conceals from her!

It's a rarity for series nowadays to have a satisfying ending. Proved it even more when I cleaned all the series I started since the challenge!

Especially dystopian ones... They tend to be the most disappointing. Which is why I was kinda afraid of reading this one.

So I'm on page 133 at the moment and I can't say I'm enjoying it. The thought that June amd Day has not seen each other in 8 months, or at least contacted each other is bothering me. Why?! That was so long! What happened in those 8 months?

There's a lot of politics going on so far and I couldn't follow much. It's confusing and my brain cannot hold on to that information for long so I have to go back and read again.

It's quite a shock that Eden would agree in being experimented. It's dangerous and not assuring. Nevertheless, I really liked his relationship with Day.

Many people complained about the politics in this book, but I actually enjoyed it, as I thought it added another layer to their problems.

I'm enjoying it, too. It's just that it's quite confusing and hard to retain. And it also adds suspense!

page 193 - I know Day is smart enough to twist that Chancellor's threats and offers. I hope he gets back to June soon!

page 199 - This offer of the Colonies to the civilians are overwhelming. 60,000 Republic Notes and a job? Plus a one-year discount on groceries if they protest! At this point no one can blame if the people are turning against the Republic. It's like they're helpless now!

I guess it's when you put the book down and you pick it up again you want to know whose POV it is but still. The voice should be enough to distinguish the two.
