Ayeh It is really excellent. While I was reading it I could feel the sand in my mouth! the beautiful narration with a very good translation caused it to be one of the books that I would never never foget it.It makes you to sympathyze with the owman in the story.that verything is doomed and you have no other choice but obey!

It is truly a very unusual story with many layers of meaning and galaxies of possible interpretation. It is both a post-modern and existential novel. And what I liked most is that generalization - the man and the woman. Names mean nothing- they are just two grains in the whole ocean of enigmatic, mesmerizing, and merciless sand.

Ayten The Woman in dunes. I cant say that this novel impact on me very much. It was very unusual. And i could feel the smell of their sweat. And it was very unpleasant. I know that it's the power of the writer But i like feel good when i reading. And i dont undrstand what's happened with the woman at the end. Did she die?

Mary I read the book and really enjoyed it. The author's writing was so descriptive that you felt as if you were trapped too among the sand dunes. You could feel the frustration, despair and finally the surrender of both the woman and the man.
I also rented the movie on Netflix which was pretty much faithful to the book.
