"Come on let's walk Eden to the door." They walked to the door slowly, Eric not wanting Eden to leave. "Well we've got two weeks before school starts. We'll have to hang out again. Well. If you want to." He trailed off.

Once they were all at the door she turned around to look at Eric. She nodded and said," This isn't the last time you're going to see me", she smirked. She looked down at the ground and then back up at Eric," I'll see you soon". She kissed his cheek softly and then walked out, looking behind her before she left completely.
Eric stood in a dazy, his hand on his cheek and a big grin on his face. He closed the door when Eden was out of sight and Lela wiggled out of his arms. She ran out of the entryway and Eric followed her. When he finally found her, she had called his mom. How could a four year old do that? He ran to her when she said "Eden kissed Eric!" He grabbed the phone from her. "It was just on the cheek." He hung up with his mom's laugh ringing in his ears.
As Eden walked down to from their house she heard Lela's exclaim. She laughed to herself and continued to walk to her house, she walked up the porch and opened the door which never locked. Her mom was sitting on the sofa and looked at her as she came in," Hey hun,did you have fun?". Eden nodded and said," Yeah, I did. I'm actually liking this place". "The place or the boy?", her mother laughed.
Eden blushed but didn't say anything, instead she sat next to her mother.
"What did you do that for?!" He tickled Lela then flipped her over his shoulder and walked into the kitchen smiling at her loud laughs. He sat her on the kitchen counter. "What should we make for dinner?" He asked as he opened the fridge. "Mac and cheese!" Of course. She always wanted mac and cheese. "How about we have soup?" He couldn't specify that it was a Mexican soup but she'd eat it anyways.
Eden and her mother eventually ended up ordering pizza, her mom and her watched movies until midnight. But as the movies went on she couldn't stop thinking about Eric, what was wrong with her? This wasn't a boy meets girl from next door and falls in love movie! She needed to focus. Eden looked to her mom, smiling and kissing her goodnight before she went up to bed.
((Should we skip to the next morning and should it be school or not?))
((Let's skip to the day before school))
Eric pulled his phone out when he remembered that school started tomorrow and texted Eden.
Want to ride with me to school tomorrow?
He smiled to himself and waited for her to reply. In the week before school started, they had hung out every day. She hadn't kissed him since that first day, but he was okay with that. They needed to get to know each other as friends.

He smiled to himself and waited for her to reply. In the week before school started, they had hung out every day. She hadn't kissed him since that first day, but he was okay with that. They needed to get to know each other as friends.
Eden suddenly felt her phone in her pocket vibrate, she took it out and leaned against the kitchen counter. She couldn't help but smile as she saw the text. She had to reply with: 'Of course, I'd love to'.
She put away her phone with a smile on her face and a pink blush in her cheeks.
Eric smiled when he saw her reply. He looked at his clock. It was only five. Maybe she can still come over, he thought. He texted her to ask with the excuse that he should brief her on all things Westbury High.
Eden laughed softly to herself at the text message, instead of replying she put the phone back in her pocket and walked out of her house. She walked up Eric's porch and stood there at the door before she rang the doorbell.
Eric heard the doorbell and jogged down his stairs to the door. "You know, you should just walk in." He said to Eden when he opened the door for her to walk in.
Eden walked in and talked at the same time," I couldn't do that, it's completely rude". She gave him a grin and then took his arm softly," So, Westbury high tomorrow? Scary?". She always felt giddy around him, like she was so positive.
Eric smiled and grabbed her hand, pulling her up the stairs to his bedroom. "We're seniors so Westbury isn't bad. Freshmen year is what sucks. And you're pretty, so you'll get by." He laid back on his bed. "But it's still school and it still sucks. Lunch is awesome though. 50 minutes long and off campus. And I'm fine with you walking in. As long as I'm not napping, because I sleep without a shirt."
Eden lay on her stomach on his bed next to him, she smiled and said," Senior year, the big one. It's supposed to be the time of our lives". She looked away slightly and suddenly felt a nervous fluster in her stomach, as if she remembered she was getting older. She then looked to him and said," I wouldn't mind walking in then", she laughed softly and bit her lip.
Eric laughed and lifted up his shirt, flexing so you can see his abs, "I have a pretty nice body." He winked at her, and his heart pounded as a blush rose to her cheeks. She was so beautiful. Friends first.
Eden looked at him and then suddenly nodded," Yeah, you definitely do". She blushed and then laughed," Show off!", she joked. God he was all sorts of perfect, but she couldn't get herself into a relationship now. She wasn't like that.
Eric grinned and put his shirt down. "Okay. There are a few things you need to know before going to school. First: Do not under any circumstances eat the school food. Tis nasty. I will take you to lunch for your first day. Second: Don't go down freshmen hall unless you have a gas mask. You shouldn't have any classes down there because it has mostly freshmen classes. Third: Don't go down the makeout hall. It's disgusting. I had to do an errand for a teacher once and I was scarred. It's a little hall that is by the gym. It has no purpose so you should never have to go down there."
Eden sat up and looked at him, curious and wanting to know more," I am very curious now about the make out hall". She laughed and grinned at him," Is your school nice? I mean the people there". She had always gone to a school with less stereotypes, she had always been to schools that were just...ordinary.
Eric laughed, "I'm going to forget that you said that." He sat up next to her. "Most people are pretty nice. There is a group of people who think they're better than anyone. That's mostly drill team and the boys that want to sleep with them." He shrugged. "I'm kind of an introvert and I don't have a specific group of friends but there are a lot of groups that are really nice and fun to be around." He looked at her, "Well, I was an introvert until you moved here. My mom thinks it's weird that I'm actually spending time with another human being besides my sister."
Eden stuck her tongue out at his first comment and then stuck it back in, she listened to him carefully and smiled. "You're stuck with me now", she said softly, she let out a little laugh and then smiled down at the floor. She looked Eric in the eyes and said," Im glad I have you, otherwise I'd probably have no one to be friends with". Friends? Or something more?
Eric smiled. "I'm okay with that. And I'm glad I have you too. I didn't realize how boring my life was until it wasn't." Friends. That stung a bit, even though that was what he was going for. He stood up and held out his hands to stand her up. He walked over and sat on the window bench with his knees to his chest. It had started to rain and he always did this when it was raining.
Eden watched him and then decided to walk to him, she wrapped her arms slowly around his shoulders and leaned her head on his shoulder. She could taste how good he smelt, it was a mixture if pureness and just a sexy smell. She sighed and said," Do you like the rain?".
Eric relaxed when Eden wrapped her arms around him. She smelled like warm vanilla. "I love it. I like to go for drives in it. Just turn up the heater and enjoy it." Eric closed his eyes and enjoyed her closeness as much as he could until it was gone.
Eden smiled, she suddenly came up with a great idea. She looked at him and grabbed his hand, removing her arms from his shoulders. Eden grinned at him and said," We are going to stand in the rain, enjoy as much of it as we can". She didn't mind the rain, but she never really loved it either.
Eric grinned and stood up, keeping hold of her hand. "It'll be cold. And we are going to get so wet." He loved the idea. They started walking down to the door.
Eden laughed and said," I don't mind, my house is right next door anyway". She looked to him as they got to the front door, she heard the heavy rain and could almost feel the cold weather. Without another second she threw the door open and dashed out to be pelted by raindrops. Her hair immediately became wet, just as her clothes did. She laughed and looked up.
Eric smiled as she ran out into the rain. He ran out after her, shocked as the cold drops hit his skin. He walked up next to her and spread out his arms, raindrops soaking his shirt so it clung to his skin. He wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her close to him. "You're crazy." He grinned mischievously and grabbed her hand, pulling her towards a couple puddles
Eden giggled and smiled," Yes I am! Get used to it". She took his hand as she felt her clothes getting stuck to her skin as the rain dropped itself into them. She walked to a puddle and jumped in it, making her jeans and shoes wet. "The rain is amazing!",she exclaimed.
Eric laughed at her outburst and jumped with her. "Of course it is!" He stood with his head facing the sky and his eyes closed. The water poured over his skin and he smiled. "I don't want to go back to school." He said suddenly and looked at her. "I don't want this," he gestured around him, "To end."
Suddenly Eden stopped all her dramatic and flamboyant behaviour, she looked at him and gave him a simply yet soft smile. She walked to him and then held both of his hands, looking him in the eyes," Neither do I. But nothing lasts for ever, the most we can do is treasure this moment and live it". She shrugged softly and then gave him a loving smile, she didn't want this moment to end either.
He smiled at her gratefully, "You're absolutely right." He wanted to kiss her. So badly. Instead, he picked her up and walked over to a particularly deep puddle. "So should I drop you?"
Eden giggled and wrapped her arms around him, she then looked him in the eyes and said," I'll drag you down with me,mister". She wrapped her legs around his waist and smirked , proud of herself and just having fun.
He raised an eyebrow at her. "Smart woman." He said before laughing. He touched his forehead to hers. "Slightly crazy, but I like that." He put her down and grabbed her hand, running around their house to the backyard. He sat on a swing at their large swing set and motioned next to him, "since we're already acting like kids."
Eden wished so bad that she could kiss him, but she stopped herself. She couldn't do this, she wasn't here to jump into a relationship. She ran around with him and then stopped at a swing set, she smiled and laughed slightly," Im guessing these are your sisters".
He raised his eyebrows, "They're mine. Why would you think they're hers?" He grinned. He started swinging slightly. "I love swings. They may have been bought for Lela, but we all know it's really mine." They we're on the swings for a bit but then Eric stood up and held his hand out to Eden, "Come on. I'll make some hot chocolate."
Eden laughed and swung herself too. But eventually they both had had enough of the swings, she took Eric's hand and followed him in the house. But before she actually went in, she took off her shoes and drained some of her clothes that clung to her body. She pushed her hair back and laughed," We have to clean this up before your mom gets home, we don't want to cause a mess".
He laughed, "That's for sure." He thought ffor a second. "Here, follow me." He ran up to his room and walked over to his dresser. He pulled out a pair of sweat pants and an old baseball tee and threw it on his bed. "I'll start the hot chocolate, you can change." He smiled.
Eden smiled and nodded," Thanks". She shivered slightly and then watched Eric leave. She stripped down to her bra and knickers and then put her hair up in a bun. She put on the baseball tee which stopped at her thighs. She shouted Eric's name but thought that he couldn't hear, she went downstairs in just the baseball tee, her legs bare and silky.
"Eric, can I borrow a towel?", she asked casually.
Eric turned from where he was putting milk on the stove and saw Eden in just his baseball tee that stopped at mid thigh. "I.. Uh. Ye-yeah.." He stammered. She looked gorgeous, and he turned back to the stove so he could speak. "There are some in the linen closet in my bathroom."
Eden tried to pull down the tee even more, she blushed and laughed nervously," Im sorry for the- just coming down randomly. I called your name but I don't think you heard". Eden looked around and then found the bathroom," Thanks". She went inside quickly and got the towel, heading back upstairs.
Eric smiled after her, though he was still flustered. He finished the hot chocolate and pulled out two mugs. The phone rang and he answered, his mom on the other line. "Lela is at Jenny's house, will you call and see if you need to pick her up?" Eric assured her that he would and dialed the number. "Hey Mrs. Jackson. Do I need to come pick up my sister?" He heard the girls playing. "Oh no, I'll bring her by when they're done playing." Eric thanked her and hung up.
Eden finally dried her legs with the towel, she put on the baggy pants and ruffled her hair with the towel. She walked downstairs, going behind Eric and giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Hmm, hot chocolate smells good", she smiled, like an idiot. She leaned on the counter and put her hands around the mug, feeling instant warmth on her hands.
He smiled at her and poured some for himself. "I am excellent at hot chocolate making." He ran a hand through his wet hair, "Uh, do you mind if I go dry off?" He asked sheepishly. He didn't want to leave her alone and he definitely didn't want her to leave.
Eden quickly sipped on her hot chocolate, she nodded to his first comment and then pulled away from the cup. "No no, go! Honestly go dry off", Eden smiled," I'll still be here". She didn't know why he hadnt dried off anyway, but she kind of liked him with wet hair and clothes on. She shook her head out and thought to herself: stop! You can't think like that!
Eric smiled and kissed her forehead, and ran off, "Thanks!" He called over her shoulder. When he got up to his room, he pulled off his pants and dried his legs. He pulled on some basketball shorts and ruffled his hair with a towel. He grabbed a white, v neck tee and ran back downstairs.
Eden smiled after he left, she even blushed a little and covered her face with her hair. She looked then sipped her hot chocolate and melted against the loveliness of it. She went through her phone, going on social Internet websites and browsing. She hadnt noticed that Eric had come back.
Eric threw his shirt on the counter and reached past Eden for his hot chocolate. "Whatcha looking at?" He asked, noticing her phone. He leaned back against the counter and sipped his hot chocolate.
Eden saw him at the corner of her eye and then looked up," Twitter, Instagram. All that social media crap". She pushed her phone away, looked at him briefly and smiled instantly,"You look nice". He looked more than nice, but she wouldn't elaborate.
He put a hand on the back of his neck and chuckled. "I don't feel like putting on a shirt. This happens often." He snatched his shirt off the counter and stepped closer to her, "If it makes you uncomfortable, I'll put it on."
