Welcome to September's group read of Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo.

Please mark spoilers!

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) I'm most of the way through this book on audio and I like it. I'm at a crucial part of the story and it was tough to get out of the car after work today, I wanted to sit and listen! lol

I always wish I had a written copy of the book though, when I hear words I'm unfamiliar with. I like to know how things are spelled.

Mary Beth (lifelovebooks) I loved it! I found the story and the characters so fascinating and it was almost impossible to stop reading. It was so well written, and the characters so well done it made me question everyone - their motives, their true selves. Can't wait to get to book 2!

Angela - there were a lot of Russian(or Russian inspired) words in the book so I can see where the audio would make you wonder how they looked. I would have loved to have heard how they are pronounced as I am sure I butchered them in my head...
