The Ravenclaw common room is one of the airiest rooms at Hogwarts. It is a wide, circular room with a midnight blue carpet, arched windows hung with blue and bronze silks, and a domed ceiling painted with stars. During the day, Ravenclaw students have an excellent view of the school grounds, including the lake, Forbidden Forest, Quidditch pitch, Herbology gardens and the surrounding mountains. The room is furnished with tables, chairs, and bookcases; and by the door leading up to the dormitories stands a tall statue of Rowena Ravenclaw made of white marble. According to Prefect Robert Hilliard, the sound of wind whistling around the windows of the tower is relaxing while going to sleep.

"What work can one never finish?" the eagle knocker asked Bria as she turned to the first years. They stared at the door, some of them thinking about the riddle - Bria could tell by their expressions.
"Unlike other houses, Ravenclaw doesn't have a password. Instead, you need to answer a riddle," she explained for those who looked confused. Then she turned to the eagle knocker and answered, "A job meant for two." The door swung open and the kids came in eagerly, looking around. "Girls to the right, boys to the left. There should be plaques saying 'first years'. Go into that one."
Bria wished she could sink into one of the armchairs, but she had patrol for a few hours. "Okay, Bria, pull yourself together," she murmured to herself, heading out.
