jenny (sungkew) Having clambered down a sewer drain, Dex now stood in the sewers. The place, albeit dirty and horribly pungent in odor, wasn't as bad as Dex had imagined it to be. In his mind, the condition had been much worse than this. Glancing around the area, Dex let his gaze rest on Willow who had come with him. "Classy place." He said with lacking enthusiasm. Though it may have been better than he'd expected, the sewers were definitely not a sight for sore eyes. Soon enough, he felt his gaze trailing around the interior again, taking in every ounce of dirt and grime the place had to offer. Oh, it was going to be a lot of fun to wander through here, he could just tell.

Willow looked at Dex than stretched her arms a little. She saw the dirt and smelled the ghastly musk. She coughed a little as she soon said "You know this is a beautiful place to be at". Of course Willow didn't mean it, she was just joking. She looked at Dex than gave a faint smile, soon following him again. She heard something than looked around before looking at Dex. Willow crossed her arms than waited for him to lead the way.

message 6: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) Shoving his hands in his pockets, Dex gave a huff of breath before starting off down the sewers. He was grateful for a little ledge alongside the underground tunnels; it gave them a place to walk without getting completely covered with the grime he was sure was swimming in the little river beside them. It look absolutely horrendous with little things swarming around whose origins Dex didn't even want to consider. Looking over his shoulder at Willow, he nodded, "Definitely beautiful. I couldn't think of anywhere I'd rather be." His head turned to front, listening for any more of those little noises that could frequently be heard here and there. "What do you think is down here?" He asked, aware of the gun in his back pocket. He was aware that the overontrols tended not to bug mutants like them, but he was still on alert. Just because they tended not to harm them, Dex didn't put it past them that they would. He didn't trust anything nowadays.

Willow went aside from him as she was slowing down a little. Willow looked at him and smiled at him agreeing to her joke. Soon she blinked a few times before hearing what he said. She looked up at him and soon said "I heard there are quite a few runners and not a lot of crawlers near the wilderness part of the sewers. Some BEEs too, even citizens trying to go to the outside part". It was true, about 3 got arrested once and was sentenced to 3-hour torture. She looked at him with her eyes than said "Did you ever seen the outside?". No one has ever seen it, maybe because the apocalypse started 36 years ago.

message 8: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) "BEEs..." Dex seethed, his nose scrunching up slightly. It was obviously from the tone of voice he used that there was a loathing reserved specifically for them deep in his soul. As he flickered his eyes to Willow, that same hate was there. It was not, however, directed at her. "No." Dex stated, his shoes thudding against the concrete beneath him as he walked along, "Never seen it." He hadn't yet had the opportunity to escape the walls of the city. He'd lived inside his entire seventeen years of life. "You?"

Willow wrinkled her nose as he looked at him. Soon she sighed and said "Nope".. Willow smiled and soon said "Well nows our chance I suppose".. Willow looked at the sewers as they reached a split. Each path on the split looked the same. Soon Willow looked each way, still next to Dex. She heard what seemed to be running and soft moans. Oh great, Willow thought. The only overcontrols that could run are basically runners or crawlers. She looked around as her palm slipped in his for safety. Even though overcontrols won't hurt them, she was still scared of what they are running to or from.

message 10: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) Dex had also heard the not too distant moaning and padding of feet. Coming to the split, he'd gazed down each of the sewer tunnels, debating which path to take. In truth, he didn't know which one would be right. He'd always been rash at making decisions so he simply went with his gut. Left. he decided. However, that was when he felt Willow's hand slip into his. His eyes glanced down at their palms before he looked up into her eyes. For a second, he just stood there before the sounds of footsteps approaching brought him back. "Right." He stated, looking down in that direction, "We're going right, okay?" Though he'd just asked, Dex started forward, his hand tugging hers with him. However, he was going slowly despite the footsteps, allowing her to come willingly. He didn't want to drag her around.

Willow looked at him then nodded her head okay in a small movement. As soon as she felt him tug her she went along with him and walked with him. Willow never saw a overcontrol but she has seen photographs in news and advanced classes. Willow thought they were cool and thought of them as 'Zombies'. Willow saw a few movies and shows from 2013 and though they were fairly good. She looked at Dex before starting to walk a little faster for him, though keep the same pace. She still heard overcontrol screaming and running as they walked in the sewers. As Willow walked with Dex she heard something behind her. She turned and saw about 4 runners heading their way towards them. Willow placed her other hand on his shoulder as she kept still. Soon the runners passed by them but one's shoulder hit Willow.

message 12: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) Dex, on the other hand, had seen an overcontrol. In his time here, he'd only seen a few and the ones he had were of the most common genus - walkers. It wasn't until now, turning his head to get a better look, that he got his first glance of the Runners. They looked fairly similar to the walkers, he noticed, their body language only slightly different as well as their sounds almost identical. It was mostly for this reason that Dex became suddenly paranoid. With walkers, he somehow always seemed to have bad luck. Though they tended not to attack mutants like him, Dex had bad luck with that. It would appear that things didn't like him much. Though, that may have had something to do with the fact that the first time he'd laid eyes on a walker, he'd shot it in the gut. To say that didn't go over well would be an understatement.
Now, as Willow placed her hand on his shoulder, Dex stood extremely still. He didn't know what to do in this situation, but, of course, he acted irrationally. Seeing the bump on Willow's shoulder, his free hand immediately went to his gun. But, this time, instead of withdrawing it from his back pocket, he stood in wait. His eyes were focused on the runners as they went along, but he couldn't help but wonder if they may turn around. In this time, he was most definitely paranoid.

Willow took a deep breath as she saw the runners stop than scream. Their eyes and veins on their head scared her a little. Her hand let go of his shoulder as it lowered to her side. Her arm was still in his as it felt engulfed from her having a small body. She saw the tunners so go far and out of sight. Soon she took some deep breaths that shivered out of her mouth. She closed her eyes than opened and smiled. She looked at Dex and said "Continue?"

message 14: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) Watching the runners as they disappeared, Dex nodded his head, his breaths coming out in slight huffs. He was sure that he could have handled the situation had it taken a turn for the worse, however, that would be unlikely. Though Dex liked to pretend he was capable of taking down a million enemies at once, he could hardly take down three humans without getting scratched up, let alone a group of flesh eating monsters. Nodding to her comment, Dex slowed his breathing to normal and gave her hand a small squeeze, "Continuing it is." And, just like that, he started off again, making note to make a turn somewhere to avoid being on the same path as those runners. He doubted they'd been running from nothing.

At first she closed her eyes from his squeeze than opened them again. She walked along with Dex as her hand slipped out of his anlittle. Though they could get met with the runners it looked like Dex avoided their path. She looked at the dirty water and trash flowing near them. She saw a dirty dead rat in the water than looked away. She wasn't really comfortable on seeing rotten dead animals or humans. Her breath soon slowed down as she looked around in the sewers. Now and then she would look at Dex but look away if he might look at her, for she didn't want to seem weird.

message 16: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) Noticing the way she would glance away the moment he laid eyes on her, Dex felt the corners of his mouth lift up into a small smile. He shook his head a little before asking, "I'm guessing you know just as well as I do which way I'm supposed to go, right?" In truth, he had practically no idea if he was going in the right direction. For all he knew, Dex could have been leading the two in circles. He was trying his hardest to notice memorable marks along the sewers, but that proved nearly impossible when most everything was covered in a film of grime.

Willow looked at him as he talked and soon said "Where the water Is going to I suppose". She said that kind of due to the trash needed to get out of the city. After a silence she felt a pain of itching and pressure on her leg as she whinced from the pain. Soon Willow's hand almost completely slip out of his until she added a little pressure and held his hand a little more. Of course it was her fire bruises all over her leg. Soon she saw what seemed to be sunlight and Willow stopped in place. She pulled Dex to stop as she looked at the direction to the light.

message 18: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) After having felt the small slip of her hand, Dex had planned on stopping. However, she suddenly came to her own stop and he did too, his eyes following hers. At first, he didn't know what the light was. Though they were underground and in the sewers, the fact that they may seem some sort of light hadn't been expected to him. He peered at it, trying to see through the light, but his eyes were so used to the dim light of the sewers that he had some difficulty. "Think it's a way out?" He asked, questioning it when he really shouldn't. Dex was still slightly paranoid in the moment.

Willow looked at him and said "Want me to check?". Though it did seem like sun light, Willow wanted to make sure. She was though worried if Dex might get hurt so of course she will check it out. She looked at him for a answer. She would though check it even if he said no just in case.

message 20: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) Dex gave a small shrug, but, even so, he didn't exactly like the thought of her checking it out either. Though it may not have shown, he really didn't want her to get hurt just as much as she didn't want him to. "Go right ahead." He said, keeping his eyes trained on her just in case. I'm right behind you. He thought this last part in his head, not wanting to freak her out with it. He felt that saying he'd keep his eye on her would be either a little intimidating or weird so he just kept it to himself.

Willow nodded as her hand slipped out of his. She quietly but quickly ran to the corner and looked at the light. For a while, she stood still when her eyes laid upon the source of light. It was a giant hole in which the water flowed out. She took a deep breath as she stood still and looked out the hole. She saw a giant billboard covered in vines and had an ad about Coke Cola. She also saw a little town with quite a few walkers, giant houses, scattered broken cars. Soon she remembered of Dex than turned around. Willow signaled him to come here as Willow jumped to the other concrete path and went near the hole.

message 22: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) Seeing her signal, Dex approached where she was, his eyes catching on the hole. It was large, he saw, big enough for him to look through and gaze upon the outside world. His arm went up, his wrist resting against the edge of the hole as his head leaned against it. As he looked out, he couldn't actually believe he was seeing outside the walls. It seemed like it wasn't the truth at all; it was like he was somehow dreaming. "You want..." He trailed off for a moment, sucking in a breath before trying again, "You want to go out?" Dex didn't know exactly why he was asking - he was sure she would - but it just seemed right to ask. This must have meant a lot to her - just as much as it meant to him.

Soon Willow looked at him then smiled. She soon jumped up then said "Yea!". She was so full of excitement and energy than she couldn't control herself, explaining what she did afterward. So full of excitement, Willow hugged Dex than kissed him on the cheek. She didn't know why she did it, maybe as a friend, a relief of being safe, an overwhelming of excitement, or even a liking. Soon, still not noticing what she did, Willow jumped out of the hole and landed on the grass. A few walkers nearby, who were eating a deer, looked at the sound.n They smelled the aid before eating their meal again as Willow jumped and danced around.

message 24: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) Dex had just given a small smile to Willow's enthusiasm before he felt her arms go around him and her lips press gently against his cheek. When she let go, Dex had no idea how to react. He simply stood there, his hand going up to rub at his cheek. It wasn't that he didn't like the gesture or anything; Dex just didn't know how to react to it. After a while, he slumped against the edge of the hole with his arms crossed, his eyes trailing her as she went about in her happy stupor. At first, the walkers had concerned him. His eyes stayed trained on the things until he was sure they wouldn't be causing any trouble before he stuck his hands in his pockets and walked out to join Willow.
The first thing that hit Dex when he walked out was the air. For some reason, it seemed different out here away from the bustle of the city. Dex didn't know if it was good or bad or better or worse, but he knew it was different to him. However, maybe that was all in his head. Dex didn't think so though. He walked along, the long blades of grass going across his shoes. His head moved up, eyes catching on Willow still twirling around in happiness. Dex stood still like that, watching her for a little while, a ghost of a smile just lifting the corners of his lips.

Willow soon stopped as Dex got near and looked back at him for a while. She was taking deep breaths from jumping and twirling so much. She soon rubbed her head and eyes before questioning "What's wrong?". Willow thought it was a bit strange how she was so happy and excited but he wasn't as much, maybe at all. Or at least seem to be. She smiled as she looked at him then looked at the town than the walkers from before. They seem to be busy with their deer but also not care of any sounds Dex or Willow make.

message 26: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) At her question, Dex brought up his shoulders into a slight shrug. "Nothin'." He replied with an uncaring tone. His eyes wandered around the area, taking in his surroundings. In truth, he was actually really happy inside. Rebelling against others had always been something Dex had taken pride in. This was one of the biggest leaps, he was sure. It looked different than he'd imagined but also the same. He'd expected grass beneath his feet and tangled vines on several other things, but the walkers weren't something he was glad to see. Though they didn't bother them, Dex still didn't like their presence. They seemed wrong here in the outside world where everything was supposed to be different. It just went to show that it really wasn't. "I was just lookin' around. Takin' in the sights." He shrugged once again though it was hard for him to keep up the calm facade. Dex wanted to jump around and be extremely happy just as Willow did. He was just getting better at keeping it hidden.

Willow squinted her eyes before saying "Okay". Soon Willow kept calm as well. It was a little embarrassing how Dex can be so calm when she is jumping around. She looked around, seeing the forest, a town and very far away, the mountains. Willow soon laid eyes on the walkers begore, even though they didn't really care about Dex or her, they still had a feeling. It was a feeling that was not good at all, maybe due to them being rotten.

message 28: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) Dex's eyes followed hers as she glanced around, catching on the forest, town, mountains, and walkers. Dex was still a little paranoid from their presence. He didn't like being around them in the slightest. The urge to pull out his gun and fire off three headsplitting shots was overwhelming. Still, he tried to bury that urge way down deep. Though he would have done it if he were alone, he didn't want to think about what would happen if he shot at them and missed. That rarely ever happened, but that was the point: rare, but not impossible. His eyes looked to Willow, "Y'know, you can go be excited if you want. I'm not gonna stop you."

Willow looked at him when he talked. Soon she placed her arms behind her back then swung her body lightly around. She smiled before saying "Its okay, my excitement party stopped anyway". Even though it didn't, she didn't want Dex to feel left out in any way. Soon she looked at him then said "You know you can have a little party right now, don't have to hide it". Even though it seemed Dex was calm, his eyes said a little how much excitement he really is. A tiny grin increased on her face as she waited for him to do what he wants. If he would not want to then fine, it was his choice.

message 30: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) "I'm sure it did." Dex replied, smirking faintly. He shrugged his shoulders a little at her allowing him to have a party before giving a small laugh under his breath. "You want me to have a party?" He wondered what she'd do if he actually released all the bottled up happiness within him. It would be a weird moment, he was certain. Instead he just kneeled down a little, put one hand on the ground, and sat down in the grass with a single knee in the air, his wrist laying loosely across his knee. "You really don't wanna see me excited. It's not pretty."

Willow saw Dex smirk and she gave a playful push, though it didn't seem to move him much. Seeing Dex sit down, Willow talked as she sat down as well. "I'm sure that's not true". As she laid her tiny palms on the ground. She felt the wet and moist ground as if it rained recently. She looked at Dex than smiled and said "The only one that looks ugly excited is me". A grin grew on her face as she said "I bet I looked like a weird girl just making a bundle of jumps like a ballerina". She giggled then looked around. Willow saw the walkers again as she bit her lip. They seemed to be done with their good and attracted to their sound. One soon went near Dex and Willow then smelled the air. Soon groaning like it was talking.

message 32: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) Dex had simply laughed under his breath some more as Willow gave him the light shove. He found it amusing that, though it was obvious she couldn't move him, she still attempted it once in a blue moon. It kept him interested. "Yeah, that's true." Dex replied jokingly, "You did look like a drunk ballerina." He was smiling in that moment but it receded when his eyes fell upon the walker that had approached them. He sat still as it came closer, the hand that had been on his knee reaching around toward his back pocket. His fingers grasped the hilt of the weapon he carried and he slowly dragged it out, not allowing it to be seen just yet. Dex kept it just behind his back, out of eye of only the walker, not Willow.

Willow gave him another shove than smiled. Soon as the walker came she bit her lip and watched it for a while. She looked at Dex, seeing his hand. Willow followed the trail of his hand, seeing his gun. Soon she stretched her arms up then said "Hmm butler can you get me some fried beef?". She touched the walkers and with her finger for that is all she needed. Soon the walker left, when back with his back apparently he lit up into flames, frying him. She looked at Dex than wiped her hand on the grass. Willow gave a faint smile than laid her back completely on the grass, looking up at the sky.

message 34: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) Watching as she simply touched the creature and it burst into flames, Dex's eyes went somewhat wide. He'd guess at what she was capable of, but seeing it in action was another thing completely. He scoffed at his own stupid powers. Why couldn't they come in handy like that? They hardly ever showed up anymore and it was driving him insane. Oh, well. He could just hope that this might mean the effects of what he'd gone through were wearing off though he knew that to be impossible. He was still a mutant; the runners in the sewers had confirmed that by not lashing out at him. "Nice." Dex stated simply, looking over at her as she laid back down.

Willow shrugged at his comment than looked at him. Hsr hair was no laying everywhere on thr ground, due to her resting her head. Soon she smiled than lifted her head and chest of the ground. She placed one hand on his face as her tiny palms felt his skin. Soon willow answered by saying "Are you sure your okay?". After a moment silenflce she soon added "You look a little dull". Willows hand soon left his cheek as it lowered to the ground slowlh.

jenny (sungkew) Dex felt her hand on his cheek and his eyes went even wider than before. He was trying not to let it show, but he was a little confused by the contact. Before this, he'd somewhat thought she didn't like him at all; not as a friend, not as a person, and certainly not in that way. However, she seemed to be taking more of a liking to him. This didn't really make sense to him, so he did the only thing he could think of when he didn't know what to say. He lit up a cigarette and put it between his lips so he wouldn't have to talk if he didn't want to. But then, it was after this that he muttered, "I'm fine." His eyes caught on hers again and he leaned back, laying next to her with his head resting on his wrist.

Willow looked at Dex as he leaned back. She soon nodded than leaned ba m as well. Though its weird Willow would always protect someone, friend, enemy, lover, anything. She looked at the sky as clouds passed bh and Willow watched. She really liked the sky, though she was scared of heights. She took a deep breath before looking at Dex and grinning at him.

jenny (sungkew) Seeing the way she was grinning at him, Dex spoke in between puffs on his cigarette. "You smile a lot, did you know that?" He didn't really see much problem with it, but she did it a lot. Maybe it was a good thing, he didn't know, but he just knew it was something she did quite often. His eyes went to were hers had been a moment before. The sky was a nice blue color that he admired for a little while before his eyes went back to hers.

Willow heard the sound of his voice than moved her head. She looked at him with her blue oculars and said "I'm happy a lot". Once again she smiled than giggled. Willow looked back at the blue sky as she took a relaxing breath than looked back at Dex now and then. Some puffs of smoke went to her face as she sneezed quietly to them. Shr hadn't smoked in ages, well more like a few years decades.

message 40: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) "I noticed." Dex stated, a hit of a smirk on his lips. He'd taken one last drag before he realized the discomfort he was causing her and went to put it out. Rubbing it in the ground, Dex watched as the sparks went out, the smoke diminishing slowly. "Better?" He asked, feeling strangely empathetic. It was rare for him to care about whether someone was uncomfortable so he hoped Willow didn't take this lightly.

Willow soon stopped sneezing than looked at him when he talked "You didn't have to put it out". That was true, she could of just simply moved to the side where the smoke won't hit. She looked at him and said, "So are we going to look at the skies, talk, and have smoke times all day?". Soon she realized it was about 5:12 PM and she stretched her arms, still laying on the ground completely. Willow soon looked at him then said "How long do you want to stay here anyway?". She might be a little worried though if he needs to pay his taxes and he is not home yet. Of course, the BEEs will be suspicious about this and ask questions when he gets back. Because it was Friday she didn't need to worry about taxes because she pays them till tomorrow. Though she is worried about the amount due to her household being one and having a large apartment. When she graduates out of college, in a few years or so, she will be able to get a job but for now, she is in a difficult situation. The BEEs did put a law that students graduate at age 16, with them going to college and able to marry at 17. She always wanted to become a teacher, which has high paying now from the start of the apocalypse.

message 42: by jenny (new)

jenny (sungkew) "No, I did." Dex shrugged his shoulders, "I was almost done with it anyways." To her question of whether they'd stay this way for the rest of the day, Dex just nodded slowly, "That's what I was planning on. I don't know about you, but I really don't want to go back." In truth, Dex still hadn't payed his taxes. However, Dex didn't actually care. He'd broken so many rules already: staying out after curfew, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, stealing, violence, and bits of vandalism here and there. He was pretty much so far in the deep end already that it didn't matter to him whether he broke another rule. "I'd like to just lay here forever, if that's okay with you."

Willow looked at him a little worried about him. Soon she opened her mouth and said "Forever is a long time, I have a few big plans here and there. So I don't know if i can relax forever". She did have big plans, finishing college, getting a job, having a husband, getting children. Children...Willow always wondered what it would be like to have a child for her own, for it to be like her or her lover. She looked aside, away from Dex. Willow soon got into a trance of thinking about her future and plans, ignoring what is really happening. She bit her lip while thinking about her future. Willow was mostly thinking about her job and her family, of course if she gets a family, she will have a fair advantage on education and will have a lot of time with them. She though then thought of any way she could find a lover in the city, never had any romance attention. Beside Dex, soon the reminding of him kissing her randomly came in her thought. It stayed there like a pin on her documents. The kiss from before was of course a friend thing, but she wasn't really sure. Soon Willow realized about awhile past of her thinking as she blinked. She looked back at Dex than smiled and stretched her arms.

jenny (sungkew) Hearing the bringing up of future, Dex closed his eyes for a moment. In truth, he'd never considered what may occur in a few years time. He was just trying to get through right now. But if he had to think about where he'd be in a good five years, it wouldn't be as happy as Willow thought her life would be. Though he wanted to believe otherwise, Dex could imagine himself getting caught and punished. Maybe the wounds on his back would be reopened with whippings or some other form of torture that he couldn't predict. Or maybe they'd just grow tired of his actions and put him down. Dex wouldn't put that past them. His eyes opened to the sky as he looked out at it. "I don't want to go back at all." He stated quietly, a few of his insecurities coming out in a brief moment. Soon though, he pushed them away and cleared his throat, "Plans?" He asked, curious as to what she was thinking for her future. Her plans were probably a lot clearer than his.

Willow looked at him as he asked of her plans. She smiled than looked at the sky and said "Plans, like college graduation, dream job, husband, children, harmony". Even though she wished almost a fantasy, Willow would stick to it. Though the husband part would be hard and maybe impossible, she could still get children from the Foster Centre. She is already in a college and learns there almost every day. Willow though wondered of the family part most of all, she was very family orientated, and would love to be like her mother and sister, who were so kind and smart in the family. Soon she sighed than looked at Dex, soon saying "Don't you have plans?". Her voice was a little scratchy, but still like her regular voice.

jenny (sungkew) Dex closed his eyes again at her dreams. To him, they were far away. He'd never have anything like that, he just knew it. There wouldn't be college graduation for him - he hadn't been going - no dream job - he couldn't hold onto one now - no wife and children, and no harmony. Dex's entire life was going down the drain and he was sitting back, watching while it went. This time, he kept his eyes closed while answering her question. "Not really." Though it was depressing and awful, Dex's words were the truth. He didn't have plans for himself. The most he had planned out was what he was going to do in the next few minutes and - same as where his life was headed right now - it wasn't much.

Willow looked at him a little sad for him, she couldn't imagine herself without any future. Maybe Willow would help her but she doesn't know. Soon Willow stood up and said, "Let's stop being so emotional, you are a guy right?". Willow giggled at her tease than tried to pull him up. She grabbed his hand with hers than pulled but it was no use. She soon let his hand slip away gently as she crossed her arms and made a funny but grumpy face. She soon ignored whatever they did just now and she wanted to cheer him up. She looked around, seeing the walkers gone. She then looked back and sighed, tapping her foot on the soft but wet grass.

jenny (sungkew) Smiling to himself as she tried to pull him up, Dex put his wrist over his eyes, chuckling a little. "I could just lay here all day." He stretched out the word 'all' for a little while before removing his wrist and smiling up at her. She looked strange with that grumpy look on her face; she was much prettier when she was smiling. Groaning quietly, Dex pulled himself up from his laying position, standing in front of her. However, soon he started moving forward, placing a hand lightly on the top of her head as he passed. He let it drop the moment he was out of reach, but not before running his hand down the back of her hair for a second. Dex didn't know where he was walking to, but he'd just kind of wanted to do that.

Willow looked at him then rolled her eyes when he said he could lay there all day. After of course, he removed his large hand from her head she turned and looked at him. She saw him heading towards the town, soon Willow realized she wasn't walking with him than caught up with him. She stretched her arms up while smiling and closing her eyes. She saw the sun as it was starting to fall just a little and the sun shined goodbye. She squinted her eyes a little as they passed trees, soon Willow turned and looked where the sewer holes were to remember them. Willow looked ahead again, seeing the town as well as more overcontrols. Now and then she would look at Dex than back in case he would look at her.

jenny (sungkew) Seeing that she was no longer avoiding his gaze, Dex allowed himself to look at her openly. It wasn't long, however, after a second or two of staring, that he looked back to the town they were approaching. "Think anybody lives there?" He asked, not sure himself. He was sure it was mostly abandoned, but he couldn't know for sure. For all he knew, there could be BEEs swarming around, ensuring that no one from the city slipped out for refuge there. He spotted the overcontrols Willow had been gazing at and just hoped they were left alone once again. His eyes began to wander down to Willow's before he forced himself to look straight ahead. Dex didn't really know what he was doing anymore.
