Zachary Hill | 1 comments Can you please undo my cover. I uploaded the wrong pic and for some reason won't let me edit my own book information. (Why is that?)
Here is the book with the wrong cover.

Deon (deonva) | 3390 comments Authors are not given a librarian status, but you have the ability to edit some data for your books and it is limited on purpose. (The ability to delete covers is one of the limitations.)
But you can always post in this group and get help.

Authors tend to want the cover to be the most recent, available for sale cover. Because the major bookseller sites allow authors to edit bookseller pages, most get used to being able to change their book cover. Goodreads only has book data pages, no sales or promotion pages, and changing a book cover on your book also changes it on potentially a million+ member bookshelves here on goodreads. Considered the same as going into someone's home to steal an out of print book off their bookcase.

(Members want to catalog the books they own, want, are reading, liked the cover, etc. -- goodreads is more like a library of all book editions, regardless if out of print or has had a cover change.)

One of very few edits an author cannot do because has become such a big issue with many ebook and self-published authors refusing to obtain a new isbn (or asin or bnid) when they re-publish book with a new cover.
