This thread is for fairy tale retellings. So many. Where to start.

I will try to post as I read them.

Bill Willingham's Fables graphic novel is one big fairy tale retelling.

A Tale Dark & Grimm (A Tale Dark & Grimm, #1) by Adam Gidwitz --Hansel and Gretel
The Witch's Guide to Cooking with Children by Keith McGowan --Hansel and Gretel

The Fairy-Tale Detectives (The Sisters Grimm, #1) by Michael Buckley is the first in a MG series about descendants of the Grimms brothers who are now detectives.

Cross post--started thread for Fables since I think I will talk at length about Fables.

Breadcrumbs by Anne Ursu on audio. It's supposed to be a retelling of The Snow Queen. I haven't gotten that far yet, but so far it's good.
