Les | 11 comments A very moving, subtle, quiet movie taking place in East Germany in 1984. Timely now since the plot involves the surveillance of a playwright because a member of the Party wanted was interested in the playwright's girlfriend - a surveillance done for a personal end.

LOVE this movie! In fact, it has been named #1 of 100 Best Conservative Movies by NRO a couple of years back. It's a shame it never got better known in the US.
