Charles I always wondered about Terry, the Hispanic mom and farm worker Jack hooked up with on the Greyhound Bus and spent a few weeks with in the Central Valley...did she ever realize who he was when he became famous? Check out this obituary from just last week: http://www.latimes.com/obituaries/la-...

Nancy Bevilaqua Wow. THAT'S a story worth hearing about. I've wondered what became of "Terry" after Kerouac took off; his romance with her, and her descriptions of her, are really the sweetest parts of the story. Thank you for sharing the article!

Christine Very interesting! Thanks.

Joanne I just read about her this morning. RIP "Terry" probably the best thing that ever happened to Jack.

Charles Here's another article...an interview with the fellow that tracked "Terry" down. http://www.hcn.org/articles/in-search...

Christine Fascinating article! It is hilarious that Terry/ Bea actually ended up living only a mile away from Hernandez.

Rick Rowland Kozera said she couldn't quite remember the name of her youthful fling — John? Jack? — and that she knew nothing abut a writer named Kerouac. Wow, that is so crazy.
