I didn't like the movie that much since they messed up and didn't follow the book that much.

I didn't like it much either. I thought Sea of Monster was a huge improvement though.

I liked it, but I havn't read the book and probably never will. I don't like reading books where the main character is younger than 16, 15 at the least.

I think you should try the series because he does get older, and it is a really good book.

Read the books! I was a little hesitant at first because of that reason but seriously they are sooo good! (:
