Leanne Proctor This book is aimed at children aged 9-13. This book tells life stories of Roald Dahl which explains his ideas for writing his most famous books including ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. This book also gives some background information about where Roald was born, his family life and where he went to school. There are many situations and personalities that sparked his ideas for his most favourable characters such as The Twits and it also gives an insight to what it was like for Roald growing up...including his visits to the dentist!
I rate this book 5 stars because if you are a fan of Roald Dahl you will love reading about his inspirations for his stories. This may be useful to accompany PEE writing for literacy lessons and is a good solo read and class read.

Ben Chambers Have loved this book ever since reading it in Year 7 a few years ago. Looking for books similar to this, that give off that warm nostalgic feeling.
