(view spoiler)"Nope." Caroline protested, shaking her head, "I know way better than you. Along with being psychic, I'm also a highly skilled mind reader." She shook her head a little at this, thinking that it was a little too silly even for her. She continued shaking her head at his next question, "I wouldn't have to pick one. Sharing is caring." A bright smile appeared on her face but it wavered a bit as she saw his notebook closing. Upon him telling her he had to leave, Caroline actually felt a little guilty. She'd probably held him up. However, her eyes immediately lit when he brought up going to the orphanage, "I'd love to go!" She was already on her feet, the chair she'd been sitting in earlier pushed back. The thought of going to an orphanage and seeing all the children there that were like her was an exciting prospect to Caroline. Yes, it would most likely be sad, but she was so excited that she was sure she'd make the best of it. She directed a smile at Ed, thinking he must have been the best person in the world to invite her there like this. This would be amazing.
(view spoiler)Ed laughed slightly, rolling his eyes. "Sure you are," he offered sarcastically, slipping his notebooks into his backpack and hefting it up onto his shoulder. "Sharing is caring? For some reason, I don't think any of those six million guys will understand that. They don't like sharing their girls, I can guarantee it." He grinned at Caroline's agreement, willingness to come to the orphanage with him. Though he knew his good mood would fade the moment he no longer needed to pretend, but he'd let himself remember what it was like to at least seem happy. Maybe it would help him change his mind, though he seriously doubted it. Running his fingers through his average brown hair, he looked at Caroline with a slight smile, slipping the phone that had been on the table into his pocket. "Awesome, good. It's not far from here, actually. Just down the street." Though Ed had always tried to hide it, at least somewhat, his accent was clear, impossible to ignore.
(view spoiler)At his first comment, Caroline let out a small laugh, a smile on her lips. She thought it was cute how he didn't indulge her in the make up things she said. It was almost as adorable as his accent which she found that she could have listened to for ages. Caroline had always wanted to visit another country. So far, she hadn't been out of the United States or, really, even the state of New York. She was very much not a traveler. Standing up, her hand grasped in the strap over the over-the-shoulder bag she'd brought in with her, Caroline gave another laugh, "I'm sure they'd get used to it. Though, yeah, you might be right. I'm sure they'd all argue over me." Her hand went under her blonde hair, dragging the long strands out from the strap of the bag she'd slung over her shoulder. The movement was dramatized incredibly, showing she was only joking. Caroline really wasn't a very vain person. "Well, we should get going then." Caroline said, swaying back and forth for a moment out of excitement. She definitely could not wait for this.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
(view spoiler)Ed's smile, for once, wasn't fake. He was legitimately enjoying himself, rules about low volume in the library forgotten. Ed wasn't one of those people to break rules, though he couldn't help but be loud. He wasn't exactly being loud, per se, but he was definitely not being quiet. Hey, he had limited days, he didn't care what they thought... right? Ignoring the icy glares from the librarians, Ed pushed his chair in and checked to make sure he hadn't left anything sitting at the table. There wasn't enough money in the orphanage to replace everything, and the younger kids lost everything. Ed didn't need to join those multitudes of kids who had to have new things purchased for them. "Mhmm," Ed said mindlessly, his thoughts already wandering back to Angel. He knew Angel had liked Elodie well enough, though she'd been a little upset that meant Ed would spend less time with her. Did that mean Angel would assume the worst about Caroline, too? Would she be wrong? Sometimes Ed felt like Angel could see right through his lies, like she knew exactly what he was planning, and the thought unnerved him immensely. Though he knew she couldn't tell, because she would have said something, right? While Ed was a pretty open book, Angel was complicated, so he'd never know. Then again, weren't all girls complicated? "Yep, we can get going," he agreed, heading for the door and pulling it open. The blast of air that hit him was neither warm nor cold; but rather a simple breeze, just light enough to ruffle his hair. "Come on, Carrie. You'll love Angel, I'm sure of it." But would Angel be up for meeting people?["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
(view spoiler)As he smiled, ignoring the looks, Caroline could only grin just as wide. She loved it when people didn't care about what others thought; life was too short to do anything different. Her smile only grew as he opened the door, excitement spiking. She was so ready to meet other people like her. Though she'd known her adoptive family most of her life and they were always adding new kids to the bunch, Caroline often wondered what it was like for the kids that never really found a home, for the ones like Ed that stayed in an orphanage. She couldn't imagine living a life like that so she wanted to go there and perhaps making their lives a little sunnier. That was what she did best after all. Stepping through the open door, she smiled and nodded at Ed, "Alrightio, Eddie." Caroline didn't know who Angel was, but she was still sure she'd love her too. Caroline was happy to make any new friends.
(view spoiler)Ed gestured Caroline through the door, closing it behind her and pausing for a moment when they were both on the sidewalk. The wind was blowing slightly harder, enough so that he could see people's long hair whipping in the breeze all up and down the street. He grinned, taking Caroline's hand and pulling her down the road. He was slightly curious as to how she would react about him taking her hand, but he was only trying to make sure he didn't lose her in the large crowds of people as he guided Caroline down the streets. Losing the one person his age that had made him smile recently in a crowd wasn't on the top of his to do list. "Come on, it's not far from here," Ed said, realizing Caroline was probably caught off guard by him taking her hand, and trying desperately to think of a way for it to seem less creepy than he felt like it was. Hopefully, Angel would be capable of taking visitors at the moment; Ed would hate for Angel to be in pain, and for Caroline to be disappointed. It's not like there were any other decent people at the orphanage, anyway.

I dunno how you did it, love ^^
Okay, take your time. No pressure, just simply inquiring, love ^^ (hide spoiler)]
