Janet where are you... help

message 57: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale Unfortunatley, Aaron, they all seem to be on Playlist #1 and I'm on video #7 on Playlist #3.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPXU8...

message 58: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) I'm very partial to requiems. I recently heard Faure's Requiem and loved it. I also really like Verdi's Requiem.

Amber Martingale Kirsten, I have the Dies Irae clip from that one on Playlist #1. Right now I'm on Epic Rap Videos of History: Ludwig van Beethoven vs. Justin Bieber: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcTLJ... And that's #18 on Playlist #3.

Aaron: Yes.

Patricia Bergman (marshop) | 1229 comments I live in So. California and it is raining......raining and lighting and thunder. Can you believe it? Even the dog enjoyed a short walk in the rain.

message 62: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) It never rains in Northern California...

I hope you didn't leave your cake out in the rain...

It is raining again this afternoon. Supposed to have some thunder and lightening later. It will probably hit while I am reading a scary part of my book.

Patricia Bergman (marshop) | 1229 comments The little boy next door ran out a few minutes ago and was dancing around in the rain. He was so excited acting like he hadn't seen it before.

Lynn Renee | 1713 comments When I was in first grade we visited relatives in California. It rained the entire time we were there, so we were not able to go to Disney Land. I remember saying that it wasn't fair, that the song lied. lol

Patricia Bergman (marshop) | 1229 comments I bet some of the farmers in the central valley are dancing in the rain about now. That is, if their crops haven't dried up and blown away already.

message 68: by E. (new)

E. | 653 comments Amber I'm a fan of the Epic Rap Battles! I like the Vader vs Hitler trilogy.

Given the drought, he probably HADN'T.

E: That was the favorite from the Epic Rap Battles edition of the YouTube series called ELDERS REACT TO.... They loved it. Of course they ALSO liked the George Washington vs. William Wallace battle as well.

This is waht I'm currently listening to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAbVG...

Patricia Bergman (marshop) | 1229 comments There is a free lecture series on great works of literature from Hillsdale College. Google, great books 102, and click on it. They will ask for a donation but it is not required to take the lecture series. The books include Dostoevsky, Austin, Twain and many more. Each lecture is one hour and you can take the course at your own pace. The books are taught by professors on their staff and the intro is done by their President. He feels that there is tremendous value in the study of great literature. I also looked at the series 101 and found that it includes older classics.

message 81: by Jenifer (new)

Jenifer (jensamaha) | 28 comments Oh my goodness. Let me just say that if the book that is in the lead for your list is called Taboo, be sure to include the author's name when searching for the book on Amazon!

There are quite a few books with the same title that ARE NOT thrillers or mysteries!
