onmerryday I know I have been away from this group for so long.
You may not believe me but I think of this group every time I pick up something to read.

I'm glad I come back in time to find out about the personal reading goal here. I cannot catch up all the threads here due to my job and other stuffs but at least I can share my thoughts on what I'm reading now and will be reading next.

I don't have a strict number for this year goal. I just hope I can read more than last year which was only 30 books! Very disappointing I know. I secretly hope I can double up to 60 this year. Well, let's see...

Anyway, here are the names of the books waiting for me to read. Some have been on my shelf for years, some have just arrived (as I have a habit of buying at least one book every time I stop by a bookshop, very bad for my purse but I just can't help it!)

Ok, here we go!

1) The Guernsey Literary and Potato Pie Peel Society by Mary Ann Shaffer
>> I know you guys already read this as a group read but I'm totally behind but I'm proud to say that I have just finished the book today and really really love it! It's going to be my favorite of all time!

2) The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
This I'm reading and begin to like it.

3) Little house on the Prairie set by Laura Ingalls Wilder
I bought this set of classic long time ago. There are 9 books altogether and I think It's about time I finish all of them this year!

4) The House at Riverton by Kate Morton
It has just been translated to my language but I bought the English one anyway.

5) Blindness by Jose Saramago

6) The Scret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
I have just begun a few page.

7) Under the Tuscan Sun by Frances Mayes
Just want to feel the fresh air of Tuscany.

8) Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides
I'm already on page 134 and put aside for a while.

9) The Observations by Jane Harris
I bought this book by mistake thinking it's Joanne Harris's :-(
but it looks interesting though...something like Rebecca, I guess..

10) The Lollipop Shoes by Joanne Harris
This is the author! I was looking for Chocolat but ended up with this book instead.

11) Can't wait to get to heaven by Fannie Flagg
I love her Fried Green Tomatoes!

12) Night Train to Lisbon by Mercier Pascal
My friend recommended this when I wanted a touch of European atmosphere.

13) Arthur and George by Julian Barnes

14) The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

15) Atonement by Ian McEwan

16) Brother Grimm by Craig Russel
Only suspense I have right now

17) Homecoming by Bernhard Schlink

18) Scarlet Feather by Maeve Binchy

19) The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman

20) The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton
It's the only one I don't have yet, just found it in It sounds interesting.

These are thousand pages I have to read and I have not included non-fiction.

I'll update more...I'm quite sure I'll buy a book tomorrow :-P
