Annie (annielux) would any of you be interested in something like this for March's book?

Hey guys, I know I'm really late jumping on this bandwagon, but I just saw the show for the first time. I watched both season, I love the whole theme of the show, although I'm sad to say I didn't like the ending. It's great that they stood up for there rights but I wanted more. So I started surfing the internet & found out that there are 4 books based on the series. I was just wondering if anyone has read them, & if they are worth me buying.

Shannon (shannoncb) I love Dark Angel too, I have the first season on DVD and I was sooooo pissed when they cancelled the show, they never even got a chance to wrap up the plots! I haven't read the books - they do the same thing with shows like Charmed - mostly because I expect them to be fairly tacky, and also because the relationship plotlines can never go anywhere. But I'd be interested in them if enough people said they were good!

I fell the same way, I may just get them because I hated the way the show ended.I wish that they would make a movie or something.

Karen Fainges (vampfictionwriter) | 10 comments I am with you there. Though I would settle for a second season

Shannon (shannoncb) Don't you mean a third? The second season got really interesting, with those jacked-up men with their weird cult ceremonies, and the physically mutated ones let loose... Not to mention the two main characters, Max and - crap, forgotten his name! - never got it together. Talk about sexual tension!

Jacalyn | 454 comments I have one of the books. But I'm not sure if it is the first book or not. I found it at a used bookstore and bought it with glee and threw it on my shelf in my closet for "to be read". I can check and see later when I get home from getting hubby's car.

If it's the first book, I'll move it to the front of the reading pack and let you guys know how it is.

I have three of the charmed books. I was going to put them on paperback swap. I loved Charmed, but oy. The books were obviously written for the kids watching the show. I kid you not, every chapter ended with a sentence with an ! at the end. I blew through them in about an hour. Sweet Valley High meets Charmed, that's what they were!!!

I gotta run. We're under a time constraint! Someone ding me if I haven't responded again by tonight! I get easily sidetracked. LOL

Shannon (shannoncb) That's what I thought about the Charmed books too, Lady Ozma, though I never opened one to find out. I remember, years ago, standing next to a couple of very young teenaged girls in the fantasy section of Angus & Robertson and listening to them gush over the Charmed books. I like the tv show but nothing could put me off books more!
