First- Hollis, THANK YOU for an awesome meeting last night and the wonderful spread! Kudos to Spike too! :)

I'm really excited to pick the next book and host the next party. Unfortunately, I just realized that Jessie and I have tickets to the ballet on March 5, so I couldn't host and she couldn't come.

I'd like to propose Wed Feb 27. How would that work for everyone?

That way, we've still got about a month, and I promise the book I choose will be a non-heavy read. Also, it should be readily available (and probably inexpensive) at both local used and online bookstores.

Is that OK with Y'all?

This was a tough call for me b/c the author recommends ppl start the Pern series with Dragonflight. However, I fell in love with Dragonsong and it has a female protagonist, which we haven't had yet in our selections.

Its a fun, quick read. I strongly recommend reading the forward carefully- it explains a lot about the "world" of Pern and set the stage. Any questions, let me know!
