Kelly B (kellyb) Life of Pi, Water for Elephants, and Kite Runner--some of my favorites! I hope you enjoy them when you get to them. I liked Water for Elephants because it wasn't sad. Kite Runner hurts, but its one of those that you feel you have to read.

Manju I heard the same sentiment regarding Kite Runner from another one of my friends cant wait to get to it. :)

message 4: by Joanie (new)

Joanie | 335 comments Deenie was one of my favorites in junior high, I read it over and over. Hope you like it!

message 5: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca | 25 comments Manju, I love the way you're doing this. Maybe that's how I'll do my list next year :)

Last year's "plan" was to alternate and every time I went to the library for books, I got one classic and one memoir/bio/autobio along with my fun novels. Fun to come up with ways to make yourself branch out!

Manju Rebecca,
Yes I completly agree with you - good way to move out of your comfort zone and try new books. I am otherwise always sticking with historical and romance and/or mystery and/or contemporary.
What are you aiming for this year?
