I thought it was pretty powerful- not a fun book to read, but I liked it.

I think Brian meant Ralph Ellison's book as Wells' has a definite article:
Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison
The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells

Meanwhile I just picked up Diderot's Jacques and what a crazy ride it's been. I am getting Don Quixote vibes, it's great fun.

must be awesome, that one!"

It's top 'o my list! I have it on hold at the library. Been weeks and weeks and weeks and I'm still #2. So it'll be a bit longer, but soon... soon...

I just started Labyrinths: Selected Stories and Other Writings by Jorge Luis Borges. Many of the stories are the same as the ones in Ficciones but I don't mind rereading them as they were fascinating.

I swore off Henry James for life after one book- The Turn of the Screw. I couldn't think of the title and had to look it up in my notes.

I forgot to post that I started War and Peace (Tolstoy) almost 3 weeks ago. I vowed to start it when I retired, which I did at the end of the year. At my current rate it will take me about 4 months; I'm reading others simultaneously. Still working on Germinal, (which isn't short either).

This is my third book by Hemingway that is on the list. The others were The Old Man and the Sea and A Farewell to Arms. Both of which were quite enjoyable.

A graphic novel huh? Not something I ever got into. This will be a fun little departure into something new as I begin Watchmen by Alan Moore.
