Which LIST book did you just start?
Started 'The House of Mirth' (Edith Wharton) last night. Lily Bart reminds me strongly of Becky Sharp from 'Vanity Fair'. I think they'd get on like a house on fire!
Started The Ogre (or Le Roi des Aulnes) by by Michel Tournier of France a few days ago. I think the French title means "The Elfking". It was a short-lived list book- in the original edition of Boxall, dropped from the '08 edition.
I've finally worked myself up to tackle War and Peace. I read for around 3 hours last night and am still on book 1. This is going to take a while but I'm really enjoying it.
Yes I've heard that people can get bogged down by the amount of characters but I'm not finding it too difficult to keep them straight at the moment. Maybe it's because I'm a big Song of Ice and Fire fan! The only time I've had a problem is when people are being referred to by a different name or title to how they were introduced but I'm coping fine.

Just don't read any of the synopsis, or you'll end up reading some spoilers.
Started Tono-Bungay by HG Wells, last Wells book on the list for me.Also reading Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf.
I started Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie today. I'm only a few hours in and I love it thus far.

Loved that one."
No complaints so far. I should finish in a couple weeks.
The Adventures of Augie March by Saul Bellow and I started to listen The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson.
The Book of Laughter and Forgetting by Milan Kundera. This is my 2nd of his 4 Boxall list books (2 of which have been dropped).
It's a group read for the "Boxall's 1001 Books..." group for December.

Began Cat and Mouse by Günter Grass . I have not been reading many list books as of late, as schoolwork has rendered me very busy, but finally, I have a relaxed weekend.
Tipping the Velvet by Sara Waters. It's a group read for the "Reading 1001" group. I've read her novel Fingersmith, which I enjoyed.
Also, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte.
So an old one and a newish one.

I just started reading If not Now, When? by Primo Levi. I like it and I'm curious where it's going to take me. I'm now in the Ukrain, August 1943.

I thought that I had read this years and years ago, but so much of it seems unfamiliar to me that I must have started but never finished it. I like it quite a bit--the edition I have has made me think a lot more about it than I probably would have normally, and I'm very surprised at how deep it actually is.
