Wow, I cannot stand this series. I haven't picked up any of the books, but have seen the first movie (and, evidently, was not particularly impressed). I shall be permanently excluded from the multitude of conversations revolving around the series, as I have little knowledge of the plot, characters, settings, etc.
I tried to read this series but I couldn't even get through the first chapter. I found it sooooo boring but the movies I like a lot better.
I think the series is great. It's one of my favorite series, and I liked the movies too.
Why would you do that there's nothing wrong with this series.
Yes, Bella is a little annoying, but that doesn't mean the whole series is bad.
She isn't the most annoying character Jacob is.
Well, I guess we all have our own opinions.
Well, I'm glad this didn't turn into a huge debate.
I'll admit I read all of them on a recommendation from multiple friends...I kept going hoping it would get good, but it never really did. I do enjoy the classic vampire, but I was interested in Meyers changes to them. Bella and Edward ruined it for me, though.
Does anyone else feel like the Twilight series shaped and morphed the YA genre, encouraging an increasing number of authors to incorporate vampires, werewolves, or the supernatural into their writing?

Now that the hype has died down a bit, would you recommend that others give the series a try, or not really?
