Each month a the member-of-the-month will select 3-4 books of their choice. I will post a poll and the choice with the most votes will be our next read.

Books should come from a variety of sub-genres.

Sign ups are first come first served. I will update this post with a listing of monthly sign ups.

Do you want the books we pick out to all have the same theme or 4 completely different styles?? I'm working on my list now.. and at the moment I have 4 books from 4 different genres..Not sure if this is my hard list yet but just working it out

I'd love for us to be able to delve into lots of different genres. 4 different ones would be great!

message 13: by Connie N. (new)

Connie N. Are you checking to see who's read what? That would make this task pretty difficult, wouldn't it?

When I chose Cranford or Tallgrass I checked through 40-50 books. I can only see who is on my friends list though. Jane has already read Tallgrass so I must've forgotten about that.

I think we can just do the best we can. If we have 4 choices then we can vote on one we haven't read and hope it is the pick.

I would think we ultimately would only be able to keep track of what we have read together as a group trying to weed out what we have all read singularly would be near impossible:)

Rebecca-We have a tie for Septembers book of the month. I think we should go with the older book since the other is so new it will be hard to get a hold of. Thoughts?

I chose the older of the two books. Sorry I posted it so late. Hope you can find it. If anyone can actually get a hold The Cuckoo's Calling we can also have a discussion. The waiting list here is far too long.

Baqash | 106 comments i got cuckoo's calling two weeks ago. even though there are waiting lists the books seem to come through pretty fast.

message 23: by Baqash (new)

Baqash | 106 comments somehow i'm missing when the new polls go up for books. i just now saw the september choice poll that has already ended. (end of whine)

message 25: by Baqash (new)

Baqash | 106 comments thanks. I see I can get the olkder book from the library, as nd as I've already read cuckoo, I'll choose the other.

☯Emily Ginder Since this club is called fiction addiction, I'm assuming that we are not reading non-fiction?

message 27: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca OK..for some reason my notifications are NOT showing up for this thread..so I missed all of this I apologize: ( ( actually they aren't showing up for most but I'm working in it)..so I apologize for not responding...I actually voted for The Secret Daughter.. and just finished it..so that choice is fine by me..I do own a copy of Cuckoo and plan on reading it here shortly so if it's decided that is the second choice I'm thrilled with that as well..I don't know if there are any Nook owners out there, but Cuckoo is $6.50 right now..big discount from the original price:)

message 28: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca For October there was one clear winner, and the other two Mr.Mike and Moonstone tied. I chose Mr.Mike simply because it was first on the list. If you all would like, I can add Moonstone to the list and you can choose which you would like to read..

message 29: by Connie N. (new)

Connie N. Please delete me from the book selection sign-up. I don't have time to read the monthly books let alone choose any. Sorry.
