No one understands how much One Direction means to me. I know that you think it's, "Just a band." No, no it's not. Last year, it was a very tough year for me. I had to go see a therapist. I had very bad depression. I was extremely insecure. I had a low self-esteem. One Direction changed that. My life changed when I found out about them. My life has never been the same. I don't know what I would be able to do if something happened to them or if they broke up. I wouldn't know how to function. Even though they are a band, they feel like family because I love them so much. I've been through a lot, and they've helped me.

Nice quote. I understand their importance to you, but that importance does not mean the same to others. The sooner you manage to block out what others think, how they may detest your heroes -look at JB, for example- the better off you'll be. If there's a shell around your emotions, the annoying won't reach, but those who care will.

It's a good rule of thumb not to make heroes out of people you don't know. They will disappoint you the most for your ignorance of them. I don't mean to claim that the 1D people are bad, but you can't say you know them so well, right?
