I did read books 1-2 over the two times. I would of retread if you were starting at the beginning. Those books never get boring to me.

I don't get it at all (view spoiler)[ shouldn't they have considered that she might be some sort of crazy stalker person who's been following the news and researching them or something? I mean if a film is supposed to have been made you'd expect there to be a website devoted to people watching them or something! I just don't get how it could possibly be Ali, scars or not, it's just too far-fetched to be believable.
You're right about where the series is going as well. She's going to have to face facts, Ali has to be dead at some point. It's going to get old if she doesn't come up with something else. she's starting to flog a dead horse. (hide spoiler)]
