Tasha Turner (tashaturner) | 30 comments How to use Goodreads properly as an author.

I'll be adding a number of good posts here about how to use GR as an author and not turn people off.

I'll start with a post I wrote while I track down the others. http://tasha-turner.com/harnessing-go...

However within a publisher group the rules are very different. Here you should include pictures of your covers, links to the books on goodreads, book synopsis.

This group is the place to promote your work in threads about your specific book or to start threads to talk about your genre, your new book coming out, yourself and how you got into writing/why you chose the genre you did. In this group you want to make things easy for people - try to keep it to 3 clicks tops to get to buy your book, read your blog, enter contest, ask for review copies, etc.

Tasha Turner (tashaturner) | 30 comments A few more links on using Goodreads as an author. Some of the information overlaps but I don't think it hurts to read it worded differently as some of it makes the difference between you being a welcome member on GR or being considered a spammer.

I know I have a few more links but haven't found them yet. Heidi's post is one of the best I've seen on the topic.

Tasha Turner (tashaturner) | 30 comments Indies Unlimited is one of my favorite blogs as they have a lot of good advice. Obviously they are aimed at indies and some post are a bit anti-trad publishing but for the most part they have great advice from how to set
-up/use tools/social media to marketing/promotion advice. Tutorial – Using Goodreads Listopia to Your Advantage
