I just finished "The Plot Against America" by Philip Roth. A very imaginative, interesting alternate history of the United States just before we entered the second world war. In some ways I could not help but think this book of fiction can be reflective of the election cycle currently taking place in the US. I think this is an important read and highly recommend it.
I'm currently reading "The Heart of Everything That Is. The Untold Story of Red Cloud, An American Legend". "The Thing With Feathers", and "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck".

I read all the Alana Terry books this year, and I especially liked the Series on Kennedy Stern, Unplanned, Policed, Paralyzed, and Straightened. These books are all about controversial issues and are well worth the read.

by Colson Whitehead-- 4 Stars.Gorgeous writing, historical fiction plus SO MUCH MORE, had trouble connecting with Cora (the main character), but this one was so good.
