Thanks for that recommendation, Deanne. I have his Complicity sitting in my stack, which I'd really like to get to soon.

Stephanie "Jedigal" (jedigal) | 271 comments I just decided I was going to hit the last two Banks novels off my list. [Banks is one of the >5 titles authors.]

Apparently copies of The Crow Road are rare, either relatively few were printed or because everyone hold onto their copy. I paid as much to have a used MMPB shipped as I would to get a new HB at the store. I'm encouraged though, Deanne, to hear it ranks in your favorites. :o)

The other one I have left is The Player of Games, which thankfully is available for Kindle.

Well, then I guess it's good my library has a copy.

He picked Shenandoah as sung by Paul Robeson for the track he inherited.

He picked For A Dancer by Jackson Browne as the track he wants to pass on.

Jamie Barringer (Ravenmount) (ravenmount) | 21 comments I came across a bunch of Iain Banks audiobooks on youtube this season, so I've been listening to them while crocheting. Our library has almost none of Banks's books, and I don't own any yet. Audiobooks don't tend to live on youtube long, so I am hoping to finish all of the ones I can find soon. So far I've listened to Complicity, The Wasp Factory, Dead Air, The Steep Approach to Garbadale, A Song of Stone, Whit, and Espedair Street. I am listening to The Crow Road now. Very few of his sci-fi under Iain M. Banks are on youtube though, and I hate reading series out of order, so I am probably leaving those till later.
I didn't like The Wasp Factory much, but Whit was fun.
