ok. so do we treat Summer Crossing as his first novel (which he wrote in composition books at age 19 but ended up putting aside for Other Voices, eventually leaving it for his super to save before putting it out on the curb) or Other Voices Other Rooms, which was his first actually published novel??

lee lee (momofhenri) | 1 comments it's a valid questions--for a group called "firsts." is a first novel the author's published novel? or the first novel they wrote, regardless of publication? come to think of it, i just added "at fault" which was chopin's first novel, but she self-published it and i'm not sure whether she did so before or after The Awakening. i think before, though...
