Mark E Cooper | 4 comments Hi guys,

This is my first post here. I wonder if it would be possible to add a new edition of an existing title? I am the author of this book: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11... and would like to have the newest cover show on Goodreads.

Here is the cover at my website: http://www.impulsebooks.co.uk/wolf-re...

Mark E Cooper | 4 comments Thanks guys :)

Can I ask you to fix the links to the vendors too? I didn't realise they wouldn't work on the new edition. Here is the info if you can:

Kaye (potassiumreads) | 79 comments I guess they can just automatically choose what site to purchase the book so the links arent necessarily. I think? Coz the links can't be edited.

Book links to other sites are customized on a per-user basis (each user chooses theirs), not a per-book basis.

Mark E Cooper | 4 comments Not sure what you mean. You know the kobo button that goodreads puts under the cover? When i click it doesnt go to kobo anymore. It just loads the goodreads page again.

Anyway. Thanks for trying.

Paula (paulaan) | 7027 comments The link works for me

You have to use it from the appropriate edition of the book.

If you try the kobo button from the kindle edition it will not work and an error message appears at the top of the screen

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) The kobo button under the book cover is a sponsored link (paid ad) if it's the leftmost green get-a-copy button. Left button = sponsored link that changes according to who pays for, other two buttons members customize ( or leave as defaults goodreads gave them).

Found that out the hard way embarrassing myself in feedback group when "my" Barnes and Noble leftmost button went away.

Mark E Cooper | 4 comments Oh ok. Thanks guys. Goodreads seems to have changed a great deal since I first added books. Back then I'm sure I edited my own links and covers. Is this Amazon influence or am I just that out of date? :)

Thanks for all the help.

Mark

It has never been possible to customize links on a per-book basis.

As for covers, it has always been a policy violation to change valid published covers; a few months ago we brought author abilities in line with policy. Authors are still able to upload covers for any book of theirs without one.
