cecilia okay. done.

Amber looked around the room with a weary sigh. Thankfully, it was empty. She wasn't needed to be healing at the moment. No one was injured, and no one had to be attended to. A few bliss moments of peace in a long week of turmoil, which had scattered her thoughts and made it impossible to think straight. She unconsciously clenched her hands into fists, and then relaxed them again. Amber always did that when she was focused, or when she was stressed.
The last three days, wounded had been pouring into the infirmary at a faster rate than ever before. There had never been a shortage of healers, ever, but now, they had run into the first shortage ever. So many wounded had piled up that Amber had hardly been able to keep count. The total was more than she’d ever seen in the infirmary, though. Amber wasn’t quite sure she wanted to know the numbers.
Amber sat down in a chair, feeling the worn wood under her exposed palms. So many people had sat in these chairs. Every single one of them worrying about a family member. It was unfitting that she sat here, since she wasn't worrying. To her, she felt like it broke some sort of unspoken law. These chairs were the ones that people sat in when they knew their family members were hovering on the brink of death. The other chairs, the ones across the room, were the ones that happy, rejoicing family members sat in. When they knew that their children, wives, husbands, or siblings would make it. It was almost a law, actually. It qualified as tradition; no one broke that.
Well, apparently Amber did. Amber stood up and crossed the room, peeling bed sheets off the cots and tossing them in the hamper. She quickly proceeded to cover the cots with clean sheets, and then sat in her chair with a tired expression on her face. The whole day, she'd been on her feet, healing and helping for all she was worth. Amber loved her job, but this one sometimes took it out of her, and she didn't have any remaining strength at the end of the day.
Hopefully, she was done for the day, considering it was quarter to midnight. Amber had no energy left. After such a long day, she was surprised she was even up on her feet. But she wouldn't be if there were more people piling into the infirmary; she hadn't slept in two nights. The war wasn't kind on the injured, nor was it kind on the healers.
Amber slowly took in the empty room, standing up once more. She stifled a loud yawn; she hadn’t slept in the last two days, and began cleaning up. Even if she was one of the best healers, she wasn’t above cleaning up her messes.
After the room was pristine, shining, and ready for another long day, Amber finally decided that she could rest a little. She wasn't sure she wanted to go home; the feeling that she'd need to be here overnight nagged at her, but she needed rest. Otherwise anything else she had to do would be done half asleep.

Legend McCauley for Lead Warrior? If not, then just regular warrior is fine :)
