Street sign isn't on the list, are you thinking Strange roadside sign/billboard?
My first thought on the heart pic was that your nails matched too :)
You're doing great getting pictures! Good luck on getting Jason Statham.

I changed the Viking to my strange sign and added another statue. I will also redo the library. :)

Marnie (marnie19) | 1986 comments Connie - first off - I love how you posted your pictures. What a smart idea to put it as a spoiler so it doesn't take up the whole page. I would copy you but it was by the Grace of God I got them uploaded in the first place and I am not touching my post again ( afraid I might delete something :)

I like your street sign. Our roads here are very narrow so if we followed that rule we would be in the wrong lane:). Love the Elvis statue too.

Lynn | 2553 comments Umbrella

Heart, any color but red

Flashlight or lantern - Me, under the covers with a flashlight (Torch!) :D

Tent or sleeping bag - I thought I'd have a problem with this one .... then I walk through town and there they are, set up on the pavement outside a store!

Campfire - This one was a real struggle and this is the best I could come up with ....

Cocktail - An unusual cocktail with a Tomato Consomme as the base! Surprisingly it really did work!

Yellow piece of fruit

Strange roadside sign/billboard - Always makes me smile when I go past it :)

Canoe, kayak or sailboat

Stars - I was thinking forever where I could find stars (as I live in the city and stars in the sky are not easy to see), then I realised I see them everyday!

Body of water - The River Ouse, with The Guildhall on the left (built in the 15th century and served as a meeting place for the guilds of York)

Bird - Taking flight after perching on the many places available on The Minster (which you will see below)

Post office or UPS truck

Statue - of the Roman Emperor Constantine, at the side of York Minster

Interesting piece of architecture - York is full of interesting architecture but I can't think of anything better than York Minster.

Dessert - I work in the catering industry and have beautiful and tasty food around me all the time!
Yorkshire Rhubarb - Crumble, Warm Jelly & Custard, Rhubarb Sorbet

Flower in bloom - with the wonderful York Minster in the background

Restaurant menu - as I said earlier I work in the catering industry, this is the menu of one of the restaurants I work for.

Flagpole - attached to The Mansion House, home of the Lord Mayors of York during their term in office. Unfortunately there was NO wind that day but there is an England flag attached to that pole.

Underwear you wouldn’t be caught dead in

Something you see every day - what I have to reach for every morning so I can see the rest of the world!

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 16489 comments I've been there! And there! Oop and there!

Also, my father would tell you there is nothing better in the world besides Yorkshire Rhubarb. Well, maybe proper Licorice Allsorts, but you know. Thanks for making me smile this morning Lynn :)

I honestly can't remember! We had a 10 course tasting menu which included a cocktails with every other round!

I am rather full and happy! :D

Oh yes. My Dad was from Otley and his favourite tshirt said "Not only am I perfect, but I'm from Yorkshire too." It was completely full of holes by the end but didn't stop him from wearing it.

My aunt was in Huddersfield and my cousin (her daughter) is in Bradford.

So for me, Yorkshire is proper England. And Yorkshire accents feel like home. Lexx always laughs at me watching Game of Thrones, as no matter whats going on, anything with the Starks or the Wildlings makes me have a huge smile on my face. They talk proper!

Well I am Yorkshire born and bred. I've been in York for 25 years now but I am originally from West Yorkshire. A little village called Kellingley, specifically built to be next to Kellingley Colliery (my Dad was the Safety Officer), which is near Pontefract.

Thanks, Marnie. I love your pics. Washington is such a lovely state with all the water and green-ness, and your pictures show your area off so well. Your bouquet is so beautiful; I love lilies, and yours are simply gorgeous.
