Andy The Contortionists Handbook is one of my favourite books and I haven't read many books that can match it. My question to fellow fans is what book/s would you recommend?

Andy I'll start with: The Seven Days of Peter Crumb by Jonny Glynn

Justine if you haven't read anything by chuck palahniuk then i would start there. try these: Choke

Justine in fact, I read choke and contortionist's handbook back to back. Similar main characters

message 5: by One (new) - rated it 5 stars

One Flew Chuck Palahniuk and Brett Easton Ellis.

message 6: by Kol (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kol Anderson I've read the fuck out of those two (Ellis and Palahniuk) :P I need more such authors.

One Flew Ok try, Hubert Selby.
Hunter S Thompson, particularly Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Hells Angels and the Rum Diary.

Not hugely similar to the Contortionist's Handbook, but both writers fit the same category.

Andy I like Chuck. I cannot stand Brett.

Jason Donnelly Huge fan of Craig, Will Christopher Baer, Palahniuk, Ellis, and Thompson... If you're looking for some funnier stuff with the same feel check out Michael Kun, Chad Kultgen, Paul Neilan, and of course, my new novel, Gripped. :-)
