Valerie | 34 comments We are writers and readers of children's e-books--let's help each other out by mutually reading and reviewing children's e-books. Post your children's book here when it's FREE, and we can review for each other.

Who am I? I am on The Kindle Book Review team (I only review children's e-books) and I run a children's e-book review blog at http://valerierichardsonharmon.blogsp.... I will use my own book that's free this weekend as an example on how to set up your posts here:

1. Post the Title, link, and Ratings/Reviews of the free children's e-book. Adding the cover of your book to your post will encourage more people to review. You can see above this text the words "add book/author." Click on it, search for your book, click on "cover" and a picture of your book cover will appear.
(Example: The Alligator Who Wanted To Be A Dog by Valerie Harmon
The Alligator Who Wanted To Be A Dog http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C36RJCQ/
5 stars, 12 reviews)

2. Post the dates it's free (3 free days is better than 1, in my experience). You'll probably get the best success on getting reviews from this thread if you post on the FIRST day your book is actually free. We are immediate creatures--if we like a book, we want to download it immediately, and read it at our leisure.
(Example: 6/7-6/11/2013)

3. Link to your Facebook page so we can like it too.
(Example: https://www.facebook.com/WantedToBe)

4. Link to your website (the more outside links you have, the better Google rates your site so even if no one looks at your site from this thread, it benefits you to have the link here. Plus, we just might!)
(Example: http://www.wantstobe.com)

5. Link to your Book Trailer if you have one (BTW, A good place to post book trailers is: http://bookgoodieskids.com/contact-us...)
(Example: http://youtu.be/UhfTBjQtSxI)

And then post your info on this thread. And we will get to reviewing!

To help you in your free book promoting, I'll share a list I've compiled of Facebook pages that want free books listed on them:

1. Like each of the pages.
2. On the day your book is free, post your book on these FB pages (see below).
3. Good manners says promote your book on a FB Page no more than once a week.
4. Like your own post.
5. How to write your FB post? I begin my post saying that it's Free, and for how long. Then I say the book's title, its ratings and reviews, mention its category, the suggested reader age, and end with the amazon link. And then I post this same paragraph on each of the FB Pages that want free links.

Example of my FB paragraph: "Free today through Monday June 10th: The Alligator Who Wanted To Be A Dog has 12 reviews and a 5.0 star rating and has hit #1 Best Seller in Category on Amazon. This is a fully-illustrated children’s picture e-book about hard work, perseverance and friendship, with a large dollop of silliness that sends kids ages 2-9 into giggles. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C36RJCQ")

Here is the list of FB pages that want your promotional Free book listing (if you have more to add, I'll take them!):
http://addictedtoebooks.com/free
http://www.facebook.com/BookGoodies
http://facebook.com/iauthor?sk=wall
http://facebook.com/kindle
http://facebook.com/pages/IndieKindle...
http://facebook.com/pages/Kindle-Find...
http://facebook.com/pages/UK-Kindle-B...
https://www.facebook.com/EreadingToday
https://www.facebook.com/ourawesomegang

I hope this information is useful and that we can come together as a community and promote quality children's picture e-books together!

Lila | 2 comments Hi Everyone,

I'm the mother of two boys, and when my oldest was in preschool, I searched desperately for non-violent characters that would engage his imagination and love of cool gadgets and super powers - while encouraging positive values.

Several years and cups of coffee later, my co-author and I finally published The Supercubs on Kindle.

Equipped with Empower-watches and Empowerbelts(provided by their way cool science teacher, of course), the Supercubs help kids on Earth while learning to solve their own problems along the way.

It's available FREE for the next few days, and we would really love any feedback.
Thanks!

My pen name is Author C. T. Raye and I published my first book 'Spud' in June and was really excited with the success. It is a short story that has landed me all over the top spots for free ebooks on amazon.com.(in my genre) it was first book and everyone has asked me when is next book going to be released and it is set to be released September 1st and I am awaiting to see if the success is going to be equal. I am in my ninety days free on amazon.com. So, go ahead and download it and tell me what you think. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00LYLW...

SPUD BOOK ONE

Tom was just a normal kid who had a dog that was normal. He could chase a bull into a chicken coop and make him bellow. He wasn't scared of anything and had a strong dislike for rabbits. Whoever thought this dog would lead him on a chase across a field running from a scene that was sure to get him in trouble. With Tom crying, because he was laughing so hard. Who never knew that Tom would one day slip and fall. That no-one would be around to catch him, that he would be alone, with no-one around. That he would be drug through the woods, and awake just to find out that it was dark and that he was alone and hurt. Read and find out about Spud.

SPUD BOOK 2 - TORNADO

Why is Tom’s dad left sitting in a fresh pile of manure covered in milk thanks to a crack of thunder? Join Tom and Spud as they wait through a tornado in a small cellar. Follow Spud as he chases a mouse through the cellar that leaves them in the dark and Tom’s dad unconscious on the floor. Find out how they make it out of this tornado alive and the sticky situation that Spud and Tom get into while
they are looking over the damage at the house. It is a story that is sure to leave you wondering how a boy and his dog could get into so much trouble.

Thanks for the support.

Margaret Leigh (httpwwwgoodreadscomleigh) | 14 comments Free today, 30 September - Frog Dog Summer.

The ugliest dog in the pound is rescued from doggy death row at the last possible moment. It’s shaping up to be the best summer ever for Frog, thanks to his new loving family. But when word gets out he is a rare and valuable Manchurian Mountain Dog, everything starts to go horribly wrong...

Frog Dog Summer is the first volume of Animals of the Valley, a quartet of children’s stories aimed at 7-10 year-olds. Each story is self-contained, but they do all share a common setting, and some common characters. Something a little magical happens in each story, but they are all nevertheless firmly grounded in real life, the life of a tiny village in a Welsh valley.

Frog Dog Summer and Bird King Spring (released today) will be followed over the next month or two, Animal Ark Autumn and Magic Fish Winter, with paperback editions hot on the heels of the Kindle versions.

Michelle Eastman (goodreadscommichelleeastman) | 3 comments My new children's picture book is FREE today on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/Legend-Dust-Bun...

The Legend of Dust Bunnies, a Fairy’s Tale is a refreshingly lighthearted story about a very important and serious topic: Being Yourself.
Watch a book preview https://animoto.com/play/2XcG5elgmuLc...
The Legend of Dust Bunnies will open your eyes to a world of dirt and dust that you never knew could be so magical and fun! Did you know that Dust Fairies come into our homes at night and spread dust, spider webs, and even spit crumbs into the carpet? They do! It’s true! Well, not all fairies. Artie is different. He doesn’t like messes, and he doesn’t fit in. At first, Artie is lonely and unsure of what to do, but then he takes matters into his own hands. When given lemons you're supposed to make lemonade, right? This story does one better, it turns DUST into DUST BUNNIES. The Legend of Dust Bunnies is the story about how and why a misfit Dust Fairy turns dust into cuddly dust bunnies and the joyful aftermath that follows. It will have families looking at dust bunnies in a new light, and may actually give kids an excuse NOT to clean their rooms. (Picture book, ages 3-9)

Dogs in Space!

My latest release is free on Smashwords until Feb 21, 2015.
The link is

https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...

Please use this coupon code at checkout: AG57P

The book is available in a variety of formats including mobi (Kindle), iBooks, Sony, Kobo and PDF.

Please post reviews on Amazon.com and Smashwords. I'm happy to reciprocate and feature your children's book on my blog.

Blurb:
Come on! How hard can it be to find a replacement for the moon? Just head into space with a Moon Detector and it should be easy, surely? Well, maybe not for our heroes. They are after all dogs and prone to, well, shall we say, ‘little’ accidents. For example, knocking the spaceship off course; heading directly into the sun, being attacked by aliens… being scared to death of traveling in space…

And there’s a more!

Down on planet Earth things are going well either. Speed Bump Charlie, the wicked cat, has hatched a plot so extreme and so heinous it cannot be recorded here. If you have read the other books in this series you’ll know that he does not like dogs. They spoil his freedom by chasing him up trees; they get far too much attention from their owners and worse; they leave slobber in his food bowl. This time Speed Bump Charlie and his side kick, Furball, think they have the best device in the world that will rid the world of dogs forever!

Can Astro and the gang really find a replacement for the moon? Can Speed Bump Charlie use his ingenious device to lure every dog in the world to their doom? And can, Alfie really ‘blow’ the spaceship back on course?

Website: http://www.astrosadventures.net

Thank you!
