The book starts off with a story. Key points so far: knowing your business inside and out; knowing your people inside and out; showing up---being there for people in their time of need.

Quality of Life=Total Personal Quality+Total Quality control+Leadership; QWL=TPQ+TQC+LDS

While I know this comes from the Metalsa company as the story illustrates, I find this a tough one to remember.

Personal values examples from the text: responsibility, punctuality, honest, humility, austerity, patience, service. What are your personal values? On my list, I have in common with theirs: responsibility and humility.
