Elizabeth (Alaska) | 11522 comments 10.3 Vacation Reading! Read a book that contains a type of body of water in the title (ocean, sea, lake, river, stream, creek, etc.).

Camille Here are some suggestions I found so far:

Gift from the Sea combo 20.3
The Sea
The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea combo 10.4
The Winter Sea combo 10.4
Islands in the Stream
The Sea, the Sea combo 10.4
The Seas combo 10.4
A River Runs Through It
A Bend in the River
The Bridge Over the River Kwai
Mountains and Rivers Without End combo 10.7

I'm sure there are tons and more combo points to be had when really searching.

ENJOY!

others I think of
On Golden Pond
Pilgrim at Tinker Creek
The Lake of Dead Languages
Gap Creek
Shall We Gather at the River"

Falls, springs, and bay are fine. Shore does not work because that is a land, not a water, term.

Karen Michele Burns (klibrary) | 4362 comments I'm reading Neil Gaiman's new book for this one:

The Ocean at the End of the Lane

I will probably try to read some others, too, but that one is why my vote stayed on this choice!

Camille Would POOL work? Or does it need to be a natural body of water?
thx!

Let's go with just the naturals.

It's okay if pool is used to refer to a natural pool?
examples;
The Telling Pool
The Hippopotamus Pool
The Pool of Two Moons
The Quicksilver Pool

The Devil's Pool

but be prepared to defend your choices! ;-)

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 11522 comments No specific bodies of water - the title must include the generic term, or type of body.

Example? (I doubt it will work, but I'd hate to say no out of hand.)

I know it's a stretch of the category, but, ice can be defined as a frozen "body of water".

(I'm reading Doctor Who: The Wheel of Ice. The "wheel of ice" in the title is the ice in Saturn's rings.)

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 11522 comments Sorry, Deedee, that one doesn't really fit the spirit of the task.
