It isn't showing up in our catalog yet, but the street date isn't until 9/4/13. I'll keep an eye on it and try to post here when it's available to place reserves in our catalog.

Thank you. :D
Kentucky Bourbon Country is now showing up in the Library's catalog and taking reserves. Since the street date is 9/4/13, I've pushed back the start date for the group read.
Here's the link if you would like to place a hold:

It looks like Amazon has updated the listed release date to 9/22/13, so I will push back the start date on our group read again. I promise that we'll start filling holds as soon as possible. Hopefully, it will be worth the wait!

Yeah! :D

That sounds good! I'll try to round up some titles and post a poll to see which is the favorite.
Library copies of Kentucky Bourbon Country have finally arrived! They're being processed and should start filling holds soon.

I agree! The pics are awesome. I'm on page 30. Can't wait to finish it. :D It was worth waiting for!! :D:D.

We'll be reading the 2014 One Book One Bluegrass title in the late winter/early spring. Otherwise, next year is a clean slate. I'm open to recommendations if anyone has any!

I just got the book autographed last night at a bourbon symposium in Louisville. My crappy cell phone photo at http://donealrice.booklikes.com/post/...-

Having grown up in Jefferson County and attending High School in "Lively Shively" where the smell of bourbon aging was never far away, this book served as a trip down memory lane for me.
I will also be using it for furture reference as I visit some of the Urban Bourbon Trail establishments to participate in some personal quality control activities.

I thought the photos were incredible! I still haven't made my bourbon balls! But, maybe, when we meet for the annual book swap.....!

Marker’s Mark, Blanton’s, Michter’s and Moonshine, with a cinnamon and cayenne kick, are the four flavors the Ramseys have chosen to include. Katarzyna Kociomyk, owner of FAF Gallery on Third Street, created the artwork for the top of the candy box.
(from a recent on-line Courier Journal article.) Yeah KY.

Lol. Who? Did I mention there's a moonshine bourbon marinade? Good for barbeques! Have you tried it?
