PBS aired The Ponder Heart as part of its Masterpiece Theatre American Collection on March 23, 2003. The following website provides excellent information regarding Eudora Welty including a timeline of her life and a reader's guide to the story.

Check your local library for a copy of the film to enjoy along with the book.

I just started this today and was thinking it would be a great movie. I'll check at the library.

Dave Newell (davenewell) | 7 comments Looks like you can buy it from Amazon for the low, low price of $219.

:) And that's just VHS.

You can buy it for an even lower $161, a steal really, if you buy it used.

So, I'm taking it that this is not on DVD, right? I've checked netflix and online elsewhere.

Dave Newell (davenewell) | 7 comments I just searched high and low as well - it's not even through PBS.

There's an idea. Not sure who I'd choose to be.
