He was a cantankerous ball of hate, but "Rock 'n' Roll Animal" is still one of my favorite live albums EVER.

Ed Wagemann (edwagemann) | 992 comments Yup, I guess this shouldn't surprise me. He did a lot of drinking and drugging and risky sex during the 70s. It must have taken its toll on his liver. Looking at his body of work during that time I cant help but say that it was worth it - if all that bad behavior contributed to his craft that is.

Lou is one of the Top 5 in Rock history. Lennon, Dylan, Hendrix, Reed and Chuck Berry.
