A B D E G H I L M N P R S T W Z

My status:
I have done a lot of reading in June! As of today I am at my 30th book!

That's what I found actually. I found the part in Bali quite slow. It was hard for me with both books, having seen both movies first and trying to keep them separate in my mind. I really liked the Notebook (in both forms), but Eat, Pray, Love (the book) got slow for me as it came to an end.

You could always try Q is for Quarry or U is for Undertow by Sue Grafton. They're silly mysteries, and I don't know if they're you're thing but they are fun, light reading.

Helena (helenakyriakou) Thank you Lindsey! I'll definitely look them up. I haven't really read many mysteries, but I wouldn't mind doing so.

The Sue Grafton books don't have to be read in a particular order, do they?

Hi, Helena. Welcome to the group and to your 2013 challenge! (I know, I'm *really* behind on reading my group digests!)

I love your challenge! For Q, have you looked into Q & A? It's the book that Slumdog Millionaire is (loosely) based on. It's a little disturbing at times, but I couldn't put it down when I read it!

For U, how about Uncle Tom's Cabin or Until the Next Time? I'd never read Uncle Tom's Cabin until last year or the year before, partially because I'd always figured it would be overly preachy, but it's actually a really good story (story, not sermon). Until the Next Time has a bit of mystery, romance, and fantasy-ish elements (My semi-spoilery review is here. Most of the spoilers are marked.)

Helena (helenakyriakou) Hi Tiffany!

Thanks for the suggestions! For Q I just picked up Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking, but I will keep that in mind too because I've done a lot of repeats of some letters! :) I will likely read one of your two "U" books.

You have now given me more books for the ever-growing to-read list! :)
