Lani My teacher told me this. Sirius B, Bellatrix, Draco, etc. are all stars.

Leon RE Andromeda too

Maggie And Lucius means light.

Lani I don't remember an Andromeda.

Brittney I think you mean the Black family. And Andromeda is Narcissa and Bellatrix's other sister. The one that was shunned for marrying a muggleborn.

Gabby And then there's Petunia and Lily, Rose etc for Flowers...

Lani @Brittney I did mean the Black family.

Leon RE And Sirius is the dog star

Rahul Nath Andromeda is Tonks' mom. She married the muggle Ted Tonks, hence not liked much by Bellatrix and Narcissa.

Nikola_TimeLordy_Potterhead Ohh I thought it was only the Black family named after stars...

Rahul Nath She meant the Black family itself. Isn't Draco Latin for dragon?

Gabby That's what I thought...

Maggie Draco is a constellation.

Perenelle along with Andromeda

Which would explain his choice of animal when becoming an animagus? Or just a happy coincidence? I wonder now.

Sharon Nothing is a coincidence when it comes to JK Rowling :)

Andromeda is a constellation and a galaxy. I see how Leon could make that mistake.

Probably a happy coincidence. Remus Lupin was another happy coincidence. Both names Remus and Lupin are related to wolves. Either his parents saw the future or they cursed him to becoming a werewolf by naming him that lol.
