this is great! it is the first thing i have seen on the show in a while. i found this on Charlaine harris' website, so who knows when the show will actually start airing:


Here's what we know...just read this and we will attempt to keep it updated.

1) The Cast as we know it...

2) The pilot has been approved by HBO and the show will continue in production. So far, we have been told the show will start in early 2008. We have no specific release dates.
3) Ms. Harris has NO say in casting, the scripts, or production. And if Alan Ball has whispered any secrets, she's not telling!
4) The series, as far as we know, will follow the book, Dead Until Dark, with an APPROXIMATE 1 chapter=1 episode format. Therefore, CHARACTERS THAT SHOW UP LATER WILL BE CAST LATER.
5) True Blood has begun (in October)filming on location in Louisiana, check out the "shreveport" thread!
6) Looking for DVD info? As of yet, no info on a possible DVD set.
7) "True Blood" is being affected by the Writers Guild of America strike. Charlaine has confirmed and Alan Ball is listed as a member in this petition: http://www.wga.org/subpage_member.asp...
6) There is now a 5 second clip of "True Blood" in an HBO commercial (Depicts Sookie's first encounter with Bill). Type in "HBO 2007-2008" in the search field at Youtube.com.

Oooh this looks like it could be a good series, it's a shame i live in the UK as it takes a while before we get it. I just hope it's a bit more true to the books than "Dresden Files" were.
