Pretty much any shade, as long as it is close. A really dark navy probably wouldn't work, though.
I will let you know my reads for June and early July use where u see fit.
by Kate Atkinson,
by Jenny Lawson,
by Lionel Shriver,
by M.L. Stedman,
by Susan Cain
Lucinda Riley and Bastard out of Carolina by Dorothy Allison. Have already started but can finish Great Expectations by Charles Dickens- blue cover on my ebook version if that helps with anything, and
Stacy Schiff and
by Amanda Coplin. Great Expectations this is my cover for my ebook
and And the Mountains Echoed

Yup.
Yup.
I have a question. Does a book count if we have already started but we finish in June or early July or do we have to start and finish in the time frame? I usually go by date I finish.
One more question for behind enemy lines can we steal a book from any of their read shelves or only from their shelf for their team reads starting in April?

Only books from April 12th, Sarah. Getting an overview, via the Google Team Assignment Spreadsheet is probably best. Also, if you can't view a 'private' shelf, but you see their book referenced by one of their friends, you may use the same book.
There is an EXCEPTION to the above, if a "blinkie" cupcake is used, however. For more on that, but only if it isn't too overwhelming, read this about the magical "blinkie" cupcakes.

Oh Oh I have
to finish. I almost forgot it. I needed a push to read so... 2 bronze covers for me, YAY
*goes update the thread*

Team Assignments Spreadsheet to use when looking for a book for Task #1, "Behind Enemy Lines." Just click "view books" next to each member's name to be taken to their page thing for this challenge (where you see all the books they've completed/tagged by cover)! Remember: Only 20 books show up per page, so make sure you scroll down below the pictures of books to see the page number links!
Sarah, go ahead and claim yourself a spot on our Player Update Thread. That's where you can list those books you have just posted in Message 104 above. It'll be your own post that you can update however you please and it'll be an easy way to find all of the books you're reading for the challenge. :) You can see the posts others have made if you want an idea for a template OR do it however you like.
I was planing on reading
on the day it came out.
I have a bookshelf named zzcover-bronze, if anyone wants to look at it.

Teresa, clicking "view books" from the Team Assignments Spreadsheet will NOT take you to the approved shelf. It will show you their approved books via bookcovers. Yours, for example, looks like this:

Aqua high-lighting means "private." However, if you see someone else has used that book, and you want to use it too, just as a Mod to verify it is is on their shelf.

That's what I've been going through here and there this morning. Already found a bunch that I own that someone else read so far this round. I'll update the spreadsheet tonight with new players. Hopefully Melissa will finish her sign up if she didn't already. I haven't checked today.
Oh, phooey, I meant to say what you said LK, not "shelf." Thanks for pointing that out! I never know what to call that...thing...it's not really a shelf, but... it's a place where you can see covers of books people have completed for the challenge and that's just too darn long to say, lol.

It is a shelf, of a sort. More of a "display shelf." The problem is, people are going into other members bookshelves and looking for their "TT" and thinking they can read anything they like on it. Some people (like Lisa Kay) still have the same shelf from January. Some people 'tag' all their books in advance (like Steven), or their "currently-reading," or maybe only their "on-deck" books, too.

Yeah..but when I said "shelf", I meant exactly what is on the spreadsheet image up there, the "view books" one, since I linked to the spreadsheet itself and explained it exactly like that. I just called it a "shelf" because I don't know what else to call it. I've since changed it to something more wordy.
OK for cat. 1 I will have two steals. Can the other 5 be filled? Also will have two blue covers and another with a flower on it. Where should I post these. Not read yet but they will be done not for seeing some tragic event - God forbid.
Do we have to complete the category before other teams to take it or just complete it within the time frame?
I think we have more than enough to work for any categories. I will move books around if they are needed more in another category. For your second question: we just have to try and finish as many categories as we can no matter what the other teams finish.

True.
True.
@Sarah -- there is a post for your reading plans in this folder. I linked it elsewhere but maybe you missed it. I don't know right now where I linked it..pressed for time, gotta dash! Look around, you'll see it (or someone else will pipe in here). Post ALL of your reading plans there, even if you aren't sure of a task they'll fit, even if you aren't sure you'll read it (put it in a "tentative" heading...look over the template that we're using, it is pretty nice, Jax inspired it)
Since Pewter & Cadet Blue are joining forces for the 7% Solution Challenge, we have selected those members to create our combined Team.
Anyone can see them on the second page of the Team Assignment Spreadsheet entitled "Pewter/Cadet Blue 7% Challenge Members."
This doesn't effect Category #1 - "Behind Enemy Lines." Doesn't really affect #2 & #3 - "ahead" and "behind" - either. This is more of an FYI for you.

@SARAH - Read Message #115 in this thread if you haven't already found where to post your reading plan. :)EDIT! Nevermind, I see you over there, haha! Well, I'll leave this up in case anyone new comes along and wonders about where we can post reading plans.
I have the only dogs on the planet who want to go out in a storm instead of cowering in the basement.
I love thunderstorms, too! We just had one the other day and I missed most of it because I was at work, boo. I could still hear it, though. That is a really cool picture, Mary!My cats are all fascinated by thunderstorms. I like to let them sit in the front doorway when it's pouring because the rain just drops off the roof onto the front porch and sidewalk. The kitten likes to go out and get wet, hehe.
They were right over our house last night. The sky was white with all the lightning. We turned off the TV, AC & lights so we could enjoy the storm. I could see my neighbors across the street hanging out on their front porch so I guess I'm not the only storm lover on the block. This is our season for them. I just hope we don't get any tornadoes with them. 2 years ago next month we had one rip through here taking out whole neighborhoods.
It was the first tornado here in like 30 years hopefully we'll have that long before we get another one.
OK I am making an executive decision as the 7% Challenge leader/updater since it starts in 2 days. We are going with the Before/After of Cadet Blue because the colors are easier.
Ahead: Blast-Off Bronze
Behind: B'Dazzled Blue

Yes, got the book from the library once; it is bronze.

What about this for bronze? I have it in hand and it looks bronze to me (the picture frame and her hair).
or?

Yes, the mirror's frame is bronze and the other one is bronze, too. You're good to go.

Notice!During the 7% Solution, feel free to play some games for cupcakes and fun. Or don't, it's entirely up to you! These are just some Mini Non-Reading Games & Puzzles.
***COMPLETELY OPTIONAL!!*** Do not stress out over whether or not you should do these or whether or not you have time to do them, please. :)
Hah! I didn't even notice that. It was just sitting on my desk last night and I thought, hey that looks like it could work for bronze.
Yay! It's started. I will probably finish an audiobook today. I have 4 discs left. But I plan on listening in the car when I run errands then on my IPOD when I clean. The architect is coming sometime in the next week to see the house so she can draw up plans for the addition. I can't get it super tidy because of a lack of storage space, which is why we need the addition to begin with. (no linen closet, no coat closet, I don't even have a cabinet wide enough to fit my frying pans and bigger pots). But I do want to get my laundry done, clean my bathrooms and sweep & mop floors. Good for getting audiobooks done.
Let the games begin! Well, they already began but this is the first chance I had to post here. I've already started my first book in my reading plan for this 7% thing.
Oh! Remodeling! I've been there. LOL! You'll love it when it is done, Mrs. Dresden. Yes, perfect for audiobooks.
