K Its a lovely film, especially if you have ever been to Dublin and know the streets well.

Karen Wow is right, Melissa! I loved this film, the music and the chemistry between the main characters. I saw it at the theater and luckily was given the DVD for Christmas. "Once" was in the theaters here in Portland for nearly six months and now has been at the second-run theaters for at least a month, if not longer. I listen to the soundtrack so often. There was nothing not to like with this film. I had to get home and look up what it was that she said to him in Czech when he asked if she loved her husband. I was right! And I'm glad it was never defined in the movie, that they left it for our imagination. I thought it was cute the way she was dragging that vacuum around like it was a normal thing to do. Someone asked in another forum what great love stories people have read. If this were a book, it would be my pick.

Barb | 6 comments Agreed - great little movie and the music rocks. The song "Falling Slowly" is up for an Academy Award and so deserves to win.

Miss | 7 comments I didn't like it. I don't know why. I loved the music. I have always been infatuated with Ireland. I just couldn't get into it. I may have another look before I return it to Netflix.

Jessica (storytellerjessicar) | 3 comments I love the soundtrack. I bought it right after watching the movie. I think that is the reason I loved the movie, because of the music. the deeper meanings, the backstory of the characters, their true emotions, were all conveyed through the music, and the music was fantastic.

Laura | 6 comments I justed rented the film myself, now I may have to buy it, I don't want to give it back. The music is great, the actors are wonderful, the story beautiful. I was a little bit dissapointed at the ending the first time I saw it, but it was the right ending. Now I'm just addicted to listening to the soundtrack over and over.
