I think her earlier ones were better. I'm not "tired" of the series yet. I was told by my mother in law the next book is where it starts getting irritating because of the way they headed the characters.

I must say that her first books I like better. But even the recent one's a not bad. Try to read them in chronologicall order, so you follow the growing-up of Lucy ecc..ec...

As I say, maybe her books have changed a bit in the years, but I am not capable to write that way. So she still is a great writer !!!

Just finished The Chase by Janet Evanovich, which was surprisingly great. Today I will be starting Killer by Jonathan Kellerman. I voted for it for the upcoming read for May but I didn't want to wait to see if it was selected. If it is, I'll weigh in on the discussion.

I read The House of Silka while back and thoroughly enjoyed it. Horowitz seemed to really capture the mood of the classic Sherlock Holmes story.

Hello!
I have just finished "The Winter People" by Jennifer McMahon. It was really a "page turner"! I normally read "Thrillers" and "Historical Mysteries" along with some "Fiction" and "Cozy Mysteries". I never read "Sci Fi" or books of vampires and ghosts, so this book was a stretch for me! I did enjoy it and even with the author jumping thru the 19th century and several generations in time I followed the storyline. The ending was a bit of a shock, a bit more gruesome than I prefer but still a good book overall. I would rate it as a #4.
Now... how to decide what to read next? :>)

I'm reading by Marja McGraw. Excellent mystery; well paced, with interesting characters.

The story has two time lines running through it (1898 and present day). The author has the timing done perfectly, and I find myself reading eagerly.

If there are multiple books with the same title, you might need to scroll through the choices. When you find the title you want, you can choose "link" or "cover" (there are buttons at the bottom of the pop-up screen; you might have to scroll down to see them).

Above the comment box where you type your post is "add book/author". Go there and enter either the title or author name and if there is more than one, click on the one you want. Next book on my list is by Ken Bruen. Haven't read any of Bruen's books before but this is the first in his 'Jack Taylor' Series & looks promising.
