My favorite shifters have been written by Shelly Laureston and her pen name G.A. Aiken. I like them because even though they are humorous, they don't have ridiculous plots likes some other "funny" books do for the sake of being funny. The rapport and dialogue between characters is just awesome. I also like that both the hero and the heroines are tough.
Shifters are my favorite!! I like that they are more "human" than say vampires, demons etc. They give you the best of both worlds. You can still get married and have babies but you also have the supernatural thing going on. I love how tactile they are. Always touching. Very protective. I also love the whole alpha "you are MINE" thing. Some of my favorites are:
all the shifters in this series are yummy
Curran
Dragos
Lucas Cage
Elijah
Nicky Charles has some great books starting with The Mating. And the great thing is that they are free as ebooks!

Shifters are my fav.too. Been reading them for a while now. Best part, All of the suggestions above are new to me..yippee more to discover. Well except for Singh Psy Changling series...love that one.Another group just intoduced me to this series and I am reading book one and loving it.
by Laurann Dohner Also D'Arc just released a new book
for her Tales of the Were Seriesand Lora Leigh Breed Series has 27 books so far.
My favorite shifter is Max in Nancy Gideon's Moonlight series. He is so hot, dangerous, mysterious, a real alpha male shifter. And he loves only one woman!
I really loved the weres in Kresley Cole's Immortals after dark series. Normally I am more of a vampire girl but her weres are the best.
I also really like the werehunters in Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. One of my favorite books in that series features Vane who is a wolf shifter.
