Congratulations Next Best Book Club, We hit 200 members! Another Milestone for us!
Although, I would really like to say that I dont believe its the size of the group that matters all that much, its all the wonderful interaction and support we give one other. I cant go a whole day wtihout checking in with everyone to see what new books you've splurged on, or what interesting new novels you are currently reading..... So I want to thank everyone for their active participation...
And I know we have a few 'silent' members out there who have yet to post and join in on the threads, and I would really like to extend an invitation to them... Please dont be shy! Speak up, share your favorite authors and novels with us, and weigh in on the great discussions we have here. You're missing out on the best part of being a member here! We dont bite (well, unless you are Andy Freeman, the serial book poster who abuses our threads (as well as every other groups threads out there)!!
Thanks again everyone for making this such a great group! And I look foward to everyones continuing input and feedback....

I am amazed by how everyone is so active, and I am very proud to be a part of this group! :).
Wow, 300!!! I hope that everyone keeps posting as often as they are, even more frequently if they like because I just love getting on here and seeing new comments!
I know! My biggest joy is seeing a lot of posts on the group I created, so Lori kudos, you rock!

lol, of course! My group is so much more active now because I've added some fun and games (which I learned from here), not to mention the roleplay, which got an amazing turn out, and I wouldn't have been this active if it wasn't for finding out about the Lost group and this group. It's all connected!! Thank you!(Now I will shut up and let you continue with your wonderful group, oh man, I'm doing it again!)
This is definitely my favorite Goodreads group. I am so glad I discovered this site. It is so much fun!
Yah, what everybody else said! It has gotten to the point where I think of you all as my friends. I've even considered starting a post of non-book items (gasp!) - just a "what's going on" thread...you know, find out if Joanie's little one started sleeping any better, how Blujbird's son is doing, etc. It's funny how you can bond with people you've never encountered face-to-face.
It's wonderful, just to talk about things no one else in your world cares about.
Jen, I think that's a great idea, you should go ahead and do it.
Jen,I have had the same thought and have wondered the same things but have thought this wasn't the right place to ask.I would definately join should such a space be created.I to feel a bond with so many of the members and would love a format to develop that further.
Couldn't we ask Lori to create a Pointless folder?

The pointless folder would be wonderful!! I'm new to this group but I saw that some of your members are members of my other groups so i thought I'd peek in here and see how this one is!! The girls in my Chicks on Lit group have become great friends of mine and we enjoy talking about everything in that group. Seems as if all the threads we start about books turn into threads about something else and it works out great for us! I feel as if I'm truly getting to know these wonderful ladies and consider them more helpful than some of the friends I see all of the time!! LOL

I created a folder called Pointless Stuff :D
And I slapped up a little post to make it visible. I think this is a great idea. We have all bonded on so many different levels, books being the thing that has brought most of us together, so it really does make sense to continue that bonding into other aspects of peoples lives....

We broke the 400 mark! And in only a matter of days it seems. This is getting totally out of control. What have we done any differently lately? Im going to have set more places at the dinner table!!! haa haa
If I didnt feel the pressure to check in with goodreads every couple of hours before, now its ten times worse... If Im gone an hour, I have 100 posts I feel the need to catch up on.. ahhhh....
Great to have you all with me, and im just joking about the stress! But where the hell am I gonna find time to read now???

I must say, tho, we seem to be one of THE most active groups on here. We dont seem to go more than an hour or two without someone somewhere posting something.. that is just too awesome for words!

SAme here!! I was just telling my brother if I spent as much time reading lately as i do on this site, I would have twice as much read! :)I have to log on multiple times a day so i dont get behind on the posts! Its like an OCD thing for me. I have to clear all of the red new post alerts out.

I find myself resenting when real life intrudes.I had a visitor this morning who didn't leave until lunch and then several phonecalls plus well the whole having to eat thing and all I can think was I missing my time on TNBBC and when I'm able to there's going to be dozens of posts to read through!It'll take so long to catch up and I was right.Congrats on our numbers though.I'm glad for all the members that are infusing more enthusiasm into the group and keeping it such a fun and interesting place to visit.

Sherry, I feel you. I've actually had to do work today and it's put a serious cramp in my Goodreads habit. I still feel like I'm catching up.
Wowee!!Well I am logged on to Goodreads all day at work and whenever I feel like a quick break I check for new posts, which is quite regularly. Okay, sometimes I don't post straightaway but I do need to know what's going on and then on the flipside sometimes I think I'm having a quick break and then realise oh bugger, it's been longer and I had better do some work. I just love when there are new posts, especially when I log on first thing in the morning, I sit at my computer with my coffee or juice and toast and work my way through.
This is such a great group with really fantastic people and I thank you all for bringing some additional light to my life!!
I just got my friend Caryn to join Goodreads(and our group...I wonder if she was our 400th member!) because she's been listening to me rave about our group for weeks! Not only does she have to listen to me at work, but I also have a bad habit of leaving her hanging on IM because I'm busy on here catching up on reading your posts! *L* Yay Lori & yay group! I LOVE you guys!!!

Well, I don't know if I need any more recommendations at this point, I just read the Urban Fantasy thread and added a bunch of books to my list ***LOL***Guys ... looking (reading in this case) is fun but participating is so much better!!!!
