We PROMOTE Fantasy/Sci-Fi Writers/Authors discussion
INTRODUCE YOURSELF
Hello there. I'm Lara and have written a book called Miguel's Mouse which is a stand alone high fantasy story. The pages are full of oceans, moody aristocrats, young sorcerers, curses, and meddling sailors. Here is the link:

Darius wrote: "TELL US ABOUT YOU AND WHAT YOU HAVE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE OTHERS TO KNOW ABOUT WHETHER IT BE BOOK, NOVEL, SERIES, GRAPHIC NOVEL, IDEA, ANYTHING."
about 10 years ago I wrote The Hidden Realm. It was well reviewed in Australia, sold about 800 copies, but as I am a writer not a salesman I have not promoted the book, instead I wrote a sequel and both books now appear as EBooks on Smashwords. The genre is sciencefiction/fantasy and I am now interested in editing the sequel "Keepers of The Realm" bringing it up to date using current 'alternative information' about off world activity, black ops and the hidden agenda of world politics. I am not sure if this group reads or comments on each other's writings. This is what I am hoping for.lyn
I am Susan Kite and I have published two books. The second is a Science Fiction called The Mendel Experiment. Mendel is a planet that is rich in resources the Federation needs, but the sun is deadly to humans. Mutants are created that can live on the planet. They discover that the sun is the least of their worries.
Mendel is available on Amazon in several formats.
Spirit Raiders“A chance discovery leads to unearthing a plot against humankind; a plot to steal the very fabric of human creation.”
Hello,
I am Savio and "Spirit Raiders" happens to be my novel in the sci-fi space. I must apologize to the forum members about the fact that I just joined the forum and the first thing I do is getting on with promoting my book. But with time you will see more of me around here. Although, I got to admit that I am more of a sci-fi movie buff than a sci-fi reader. That said, I still read. :)
About my book:
Book: Spirit Raiders

Available on: Kindle (ebook) and Amazon (print version)
Book Trailer Available: Yes

Hello, my name is John Rallios. On March 12 of this year my first book was published: The Gopher & the Erstwhile Wizard. It is a fantasy that anyone can enjoy, fantasy lovers or those who just like original stories with a balance of adventure, action, and character development. It is for ages 10 to adult. Essentially, the story is about an ordinary gopher who eats a magic carrot and slowly changes, while going on adventures where friendships are made, his spirit is tested to the utmost, and he unwillingly finds himself in a pivotal point between good and evil.About myself, I was born and raised in California, work as a Deputy Public Guardian for those with dementia, and am a family man, married for over 26 years. Being a published writer had been a dream since I was 14. Now I'm 49 -- and one is never too old for one's dream to come true! I appreciate any support that you can give, and I'm particularly open to exchanging book reviews.

I am Titankore and currently I am writing/producing my first original series "The Adventures of MechaBetty" which is a radioserial style podcast. It's a bit silly fitting into the medium. It's about a cyborg, her friend, and the crew of the USS Eldridge fighting back against an alien invasion. It can be found on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...

Hi FolksMy name is Brian, and I have Indie published Trojan Series through Smashwords (one of them is FREE). I write a blog about Science Fiction and Medicine, Science Fiction Doctor, (although recently some politics has snuck in there...not to mention a fair bit of Medicine Fact) and I am hoping to promote and write Speculative Medicine (Sci Fi with Medicine) so if you have examples of this I would love to hear from you.
I am an Internist and Medical Oncologist in Canada, looking forward to all this as I retire. I think it might be in Stephen King's book on writing, but perhaps it was somebody else who said they write because they want something good to read when they retire. I am fearful that as I write I retain too much in my head, not enough on the page, so the reader doesn't know what I'm talking about.
I am very much looking forward to reading stuff that other Sci Fi lovers like (you folks) because by and large I find the audience for Sci Fi is small, and the connoisseur is hard to find.
Most of the Sci Fi I have read was many years ago (I've had to spend way too much time reading non-fiction during my professional career).
I look forward to hearing what interests all of you, what books you like, what ideas I can 'borrow' or offer for my/your next book (now that I have the correct group...I inadvertently put this up on the wrong one an hour ago).

Hello everyone,So happy to have found this sight. I am a newly published author. It took over 25 years to achieve my dream and am very thankful for the opportunity to present my work.
I love both genres. I grew up on Star Wars, ET, Close Encounters, Alien, etc.... I also used to love everything fantasy. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series was one of the most influential books of my teenage years.
Here is a list of my work below. Hope to pick up some fans and readers.
"33 Degrees" is a post-apocalyptic, dystopian with quite a different take on the genre. If you get a chance to check out this Kindle Scout winner, I think you will find it a refreshing change.
33 Degrees
I self published another book, which is really contemporary fiction, but I think anyone who is into gaming would really appreciate. "Status The Game," is a story about an internet game that bleeds into real life.
33 Degrees
If anyone is interested in finding out more, please feel free to contact me.

Vincent
Hi Everyone, after following this group for a while now, I guess it's about time I say a proper Hello. I'm Michael, I live in Perth in beautiful Western Australia. Like most writers I still have a day job :-(
However, I have managed to actually finish and publish my first novel, as well as a short story. The novel is sci-fi, and called "Operation Lumi'nor". It's both a stand-alone story, and the first book in a series. It's available in ebook from Smashwords, iTunes and Amazon, and the paperback is through Amazon. If anyone is interested, all the links to the book are on my homepage http://www.michaeljuschke.com.au
Hello, I am fantasy author Timothy RJ Eveland, writer, editor, and reader. I am addicted to medieval fantasy, and write bazaar, dark humoured stories jam-packed with action. If you want to check one out click here http://www.amazon.com/Kings-Mountain-...
Hi everyone! My name is Chrys and my more than full time job is as a parish priest, so I keep myself sane by writing science fiction and fantasy. I had two novels professionally published in 1995 ('Dragons Can Only Rust' and 'Dragon Reforged') and after they went out of print I kept writing but didn't try to get published. I've now brought them out and have self-published several other novels. My website is www.chryscymri.com.
My name is Dan Koboldt, and I'm a genetics research and SF/F author from the Midwest. Harper Voyager will publish my debut sci-fi novel The Rogue Retrieval, about a Vegas magician who infiltrates a medieval world, on January 19th. You can find the book details page on my author website, dankoboldt.com.
Good to meet you all!
My name is Sheri Sys and I recently self- published a Sci-Fi/Horror novel, "Garden Of Evil; The Cis-Gender Annihilation" which is the first in a series of two future novels. The story revolves around a small, yet supremely wealthy and powerful group of well connected men from around the world that view the biologically born woman as inferior to the biologically born man. The ultimate purpose of this society is to annihilate all biologically born females from the face of the earth and create a new and re-defined species of females from biologically born males that are surgically, hormonally and synthetically re-created with the same biological functions as the biologically born female. The secret societies goal was to remove the power of reproduction from the biologically born woman and accelerate and completely change human evolution forever. This secret society is known as "The New Life Order."
The full Prologue can be read on https://www.amazon.com/author/sherisys
Cheers!
P.S...
Just realized "cheers" is really an awkward word to use after the description of my novel.... ;-)
Hi all,I write all sorts, but my two published books are epic fantasy - my sequel has just come out, so it's an exciting time. I'm also delving into beta reading to help out newer authors - so many talented people out there.
I'm especially interested in work which features solid female characters for a blog I run. They do not have to be the beat-em-up kind - though I love them - just inspiring, not insipid. No damsels without determination. Let me know if you have/know any great books with lead or supporting ladies like this.
My work can be seen below - book#1 can be bought on Amazon etc. or received free when signing up to my mailing list! Book #2 goes up for a Goodreads giveaway on Monday for anyone interested!
Book #1 - Prenitia: The Fate of Vultures
Book #2 - Prenitia: The Price of Sanctuary
You can find me at my website, too!

Hi Jessica!
Congrats on releasing your sequel! Your books look great; can't wait to read them:)
I write fantasy novels featuring strong female protagonists; I'd love if you considered my work for your blog. My first, Lady Shadow, is about an orphan raised as an assassin. My second, CrowDancer (which just came out, cheers!) is a first-person fantasy from the perspective of a runaway necromancer. I'm including the links/blurbs; please let me know what you think.

Hi All, I'm Karl. I have released a Fantasy novel called Crik. My inspiration for writing the novel came from my love of the genre. I wanted to bring something unique to the table, and using my love of horror and Grimm fairytales I endeavoured to entertain my readers. I am looking for people who love fantasy to review my book. I can provide mobi, or audiobook for download.
Deep within Crik Wood is a village in which every person has a unique ability called a “Talent”. The Mayor can talk to insects, a girl can disappear in a cloud of smoke, and a young boy called Jack has a living shadow. One thunderous night Jack discovers the horrifying secret buried at the heart of his village. Thrown into an adventure filled with danger and discovery, Jack is faced with the question: ‘What would you do if your closest friend was your greatest enemy?’ For Jack that someone is his shadow.

Hi KarlI'm off on holiday in mid February and an audiobook would help to fill the flying time! Very happy to give this a go.
Are you open to a review exchange? My novel is 'The Dragon Throne' and you can read reviews of it here:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Hi Chrys, Fantastic to hear from you. I would very much enjoy to experience the world you've created. I will post a review on goodreads and Amazon. It may take me a little while to read your book, as I'm working through a literal mountain of novels at the moment. But I'm always keen to help a fellow author get noticed. In which format would you like me to read your novel?
I will send you details on how you can download the audiobook soon. Hope you enjoy Crik.
I can offer the novel in ePub, Mobi, pdf, or Word. Let me know. Timing isn't that important. I won't be listening to the audiobook until February. My email address is chryscymri@gmail.com
By the way, how expensive is it to arrange for an audiobook.
Chrys Cymri
Through Acx you have two options.1. An upfront fee to the narrator, which can be quite expensive.
2. No upfront fee, but you are agreeing to split the profit of the audiobook 50-50 with the narrator.
There is no upfront fee, as Acx will publish this for you on Amazon, Audible.com, and ITunes.
I had a very enjoyable experience.
http://www.acx.com/
If you can send the mobi file of your book to karl.beer@gmail.com I would be most grateful.
Karl
Chrys wrote: "Hi Karl, all downloaded and on my iPhone.I'll let you know when I've listened to it.

Thanks Chrys, hope you enjoy. I will start your book as soon as I'm able.
All the best,

Hi all.I'm a fantasy novelist with the first two books in an epic fantasy/YA series now in print. I've nearly exclusively read fantasy since I could choose!
Both books are free with Kindle Unlimited.

Hi, I'm a recently retired children's psychotherapist with a debut novel that has now been awarded two Gold Medals and was named as one of the best five reads of 2015 by a prominent Bulgarian book critic. Author proceeds have been donated to child abuse prevention. Message me if interested in details. Thanks
Hi, I am a YA Fantasy author. My pen name is Katlynn Brooke, but I go by "Lynn". I have authored a series of 3 books (trilogy) of The Ialana Series: The Six and the Crystals of Ialana, The Six and the Gardeners of Ialana, and The Six and Anwyn of Ialana. They are all available on Amazon in both print and ebook. Also Nook, but a little slow setting that up. I have recently received a great review: http://forums.onlinebookclub.org/view... and my website is katlynnbrooke.com.
I also love to read, especially other fantasy, but I am an eclectic reader of many genres.
Hello, everyone. For those of you who are interested in science fiction, here is the link to my book: http//amazon.com/author/gabrielalexandruape.... Thank you for your consideration.

I'm a debut sci-fi author, psychologist, and parapsychologist. My first novel, The SHIVA Syndrome, has been described as a multigenre mix of sci-fi, paranormal, action-adventure, and thriller. I took the risk of getting a Kirkus review (sweating through the wait). They said, "Joshua writes with a sure hand, managing to squeeze in many discussions and esoteric concepts, ranging from mythic structures to neuropsychology to remote viewing, while keeping the dialogue realistic and sharp...[T]he pace rarely flags, and Joshua allows the surfeit of information to proceed naturally from the characters’ words and thoughts. Because of this fluidity, the characters react in believable ways, even when the plot developments, which borrow from quantum physics, anthropology, and psychology, inspire incredulity. In addition, Joshua has crafted an appealing protagonist in Walker. Short-tempered, kind, thoughtful yet impulsive, he is a flawed but ultimately heroic character, and serves as a narrative linchpin throughout this absorbing story. Deft dialogue, crisp plotting, and a likable central figure make this multidisciplinary scientific adventure an exuberant and involving read."
SHIVA is on sale for a limited time at $3.82 only at Amazon. Other sellers tend to be higher.
FYI, check out the reviews on my page.

Hi everyone!I'm Kirsty. I've recently just joined this group and Goodreads, I have written my first book (Fantasy) and is now currently gathering funds through Inkshares here: https://www.inkshares.com/books/soulb...
Any feedback would be much appreciated, thanks!
Hi I am Stjepan,I am from Croatian, I love science fiction. I write poetry and science fiction, and recently I started writing fairy tales and fables. Recently I published my first science fiction book "Godeena".
Hi, I'm TSM Davies, a new fantasy and young adult author. I am currently editing my first series, Powers, a 3 book YA series featuring a male protagonist trying to find his place in a world that has no place for him. Ugene isn't your typical hero. There's literally nothing special about him at all. In a world where everyone falls into one of the four categories of power, he has none. I'm also building the world for an epic fantasy series, Divica. The heroes in this series really have my heart already, and I haven't started the first book! There are JUNG test results for each of them on my website.
Nothing is published yet, but Powers is well on it's way!
I encourage everyone to visit my website and sign up for my newsletter there. I will be sharing little tidbits about my research, short stories or ideas related to my books, and so much more! www.tsmdavies.com
Hi everyone. Panic not. I'm a writer of urban fantasy thrillers [only one so far] ...actually only published a few days ago. Glad to find you guys here. I hear it's next to sacrilege to post your book anywhere, but in this group a link seems to be allowed. I'm very interested in reading other authors' books here and sharing fantasy world experience with other readers. If the plot sounds scary don't panic for goodness' sake. Unlike the characters in my book, I'm almost harmless.

Hi everyone.I'm H.G. Suren. I'm a new writer and am seeking reviews for my first novel. But this is not about it. I'm introducing myself, and just want to say hello to all members.
So, besides writing, I'm a reader. I read mostly fantasy, sci-fiction, horror and mystery.
My all times favorite books are:
The Mist by Stephan King
Carre by Stephan King
The Maze Runner by James Dashner
Wayward Pines by Blake Crouch
The Fog by James Herbert
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
I'm, first and foremost, a devoted husband and a proud father. I've got a two-year-old son and I love playing football with him and giving him painting lessons.
I started writing the last year and put my first novel on Wattpad. It's in top 100 in horror on Wattpad over the last two months. (I'm not trying to be arrogant here, but it's true, ha ha).
In addition, if someone likes to give my book a try, (my book is called Alignment: The Silent City) go on and find it on bookstores for free. I've learned from Kboards.com how to make it free everywhere, even on Amazon (it's called perma-free). So, if you're willing to read my book, I'd be happy to hear your opinion.
Hope to have a good time in this group.
Hello to all.My name is Tom Fallwell, and I write epic fantasy. I have three books currently published, and I also read a lot as well. I am 65 years old and retired from a software developing career. I started writing in 2014, and have not stopped since.
I'm a great fan of fantasy and science-fiction. I have read many books and enjoyed stories by many authors, but my favorite story of all is The Lord of the Rings, by J.R.R. Tolkien. I strive to build my fantasy world as much as he did his. I would say he is my single greatest influence, though there are many others.
I am currently working on book #3 of my series, Rangers of Laerean, and hope to have it out later this year. I also look forward to meeting all of you and making new friends.
Blessings,
Tom
Hi AllI've read spec fic since grade school, when we were still drilled to hide under our desks in case of nuclear attack. Since early retirement from practicing antitrust law, I've been writing spec fic in several universes. My goal is to elucidate long-standing and current ethical issues (my website is www.ethicalantics.com ), especially in bioethics. However, I discovered that few people want to read about that without candy-coating.
Weirdly, it turns out I'm good at semi-comic candy coating. Last year, I was a winner in the story competition held by the journal "Issues in Science and Technology," with my near-future short story, "Heirs of the Body." http://issues.org/31-4/heirs-of-the-b...
I have many stories in progress, but they are all being delayed by the *&!!##! marketing efforts I'm making on behalf of my just-self-published novel, "No Child Left Behind." It's the semi-comic story of a boy coming of age mired in ADHD, aliens, and obstinate principles.
Readers' Favorite said:
"No Child Left Behind by Claudia Casser is one of the most unique approaches in Young Adult science fiction I have ever read. Teens will love it. Adults will love it. I loved it. The writing is great. The characters are very believable and easy to care about. You just keep reading naturally because everything flows. I was hooked from the first chapter. I have read a lot of science fiction, but I had never read a story from the particular angle of aliens from another universe who look enough like humans to blend into our society, consulting with a lawyer in order to avoid pitfalls and remain low key. It is a brilliant idea if you have the right characters for it, and Claudia Casser pulls it off with flair.
Geoff has ADD. He avoids taking his medication because he hates the zoned out state it puts him in. He is a very smart and very likable young man with a very nice and understanding mother. I wanted to know where this story would take them from the moment they met the aliens and I wanted them to come out on top. The plot is great. The characters are great, from the main ones to the minor ones out on the periphery. Everyone contributes to the story and moves the plot along. If you are into Young Adult sci-fi at all, do yourself a favor and buy No Child Left Behind. It is simply one of the best stories I have ever read."
But I s**k at promoting stuff. Any ideas?
Hey guys,My brother Chris and I are professional screenwriters making our way, but returning to our roots to write prose with a vengeance.
If any of you are on inkshares.com (and it only takes like 20 seconds to sign up if you're not), we would *LOVE* it if you follow us and our novel REAPERS: Book One, and pre-order if you're able. Book two is also in the can and going through final edits, so this will be a dark, gritty, epic literary fantasy world you can really sink your teeth into.
https://www.inkshares.com/books/reape...
Here's a little description of the first book:
Danger, heartache, grit, tension, brotherhood, trauma, betrayal, sacrifice, fear. Death square in the face. All in a day's work for the REAPERS – an elite black-ops team deployed to remote, untamed conflict zones. Their mission: to assassinate covert targets, conduct rescue operations and gather intelligence.
We follow this tight band as its members evolve; some will die and be replaced by new faces, some will defect, be injured or retire, and others will change in unimaginable ways. All will be tested to their limits.
REAPERS is an epic set in a sprawling dark fantasy universe of tragic characters, complex villains, and shocking story turns.
BOOK ONE is a novel-length collection of the first seven staves (which were originally released as independent episodic chapters in serial format).
The First Stave is available to read on Inkshares in case you want to check it out as well. So yeah, if anyone can help out we'd be greatly appreciative and definitely down to do the same for others. Thanks, and looking forward to helping some of you out as well!
Best,
Jay Thornton
Hi all. I just found this group and wanted to join up and see what it's all about. As a girl, I only read books about horses and animals, then in junior high I discovered fantasy. It's my main course for reading fiction, but I read sci-fi and horror as major sides, with smattering of contemporary and classics.
My first book, Three Great Lies (a crossover fantasy from the modern world to ancient mythical Egypt) was published by Hadley Rille last August and I've gotten good ratings, but not enough! It's always the conundrum. How to get a book out there? How to get it noticed?
I'm working on my third novel, a superhero style near future story.
I love writing and reading and I'll never stop. Looking forward to getting to know some folks here.

Theron Ward, an aristocrat with a penchant for slaughtering monsters, is a legend in his own mind.
A broken nation in need of a savior: Ravaged by plague, decimated by dark magic, Brynth is infiltrated by a foreign evil seeking to dominate from within.
An unlikely bond forged in the furnace of chaos: Three criminals become comrades when faced with the choice to escape the land that cries for their execution or, with fire and sword, march forth against the greater evil.
