My book (both the paperback & ebook versions) has a new cover. I just need that added on here.

Elise, I had to create alternate cover editions as GR policy is not to replace covers on already published books. I believe you can select the one you want to show on your profile by going into edit details. If you have trouble, perhaps another librarian (not so new) can help you. Just come back here.

Just to elaborate (Bea is correct), it's in "edit details" and midway down righthand side you have a choice to set as primary edition.

Setting as "primary" edition means displays/features that edition on your author page, title searches, etc. if not set, goodreads uses the most popular/shelved edition (likely the older cover because in place longer so shelved by more members before new cover released).

Lobstergirl - Ah,no, that's a very good point. (I'm afraid I am very new to these things....) This cover belongs to a hardback book published by Longman Group Limited in 1970.

It may well be that the cover will have to be removed :-/

OK, switched cover to the Longman edition and removed the wrong Puffin cover.

I have photographed a book cover for the paperback Everycat by Eric Allan. Its ISBN is 0 85654 6534.

When I enter Everycat in the search box 3 editions of the book come up - none with the same ISBN number as this one. All have generic covers.

I am not sure whether to upload this cover here or just leave it.

The only cover I can find, even on your website, is the orange-arrowed look inside cover from amazon that no other site is allowed to use.

Can you provide a non-bookseller link to the new cover or upload to your goodreads photos for us?

Hi guys, my book TThe Kiss Off has new cover art being released today (just for the ebook at present, the print book hasn't been done) and I'm wanting it to show up as another edition.

I DON'T want to delete the previous cover art, because thousands of people have that cover.

But when I go to manually add a new edition of the book, it tells me to use the one that is already there.

I'm not sure how to go about doing this. The cover art isn't posted anywhere yet as I'm waiting for bloggers to do their big reveal, so if you could just explain to me, is there any trick to it or do I just ignore GR when it tells me not to make a new edition, and do it anyway?

Add the new edition WITHOUT an ASIN/ISBN, then either combine it yourself with the older edition, or ask us if you're not confident about it. Once it's combined you can set the new edition as primary so that it's the first one readers see if they search for the title. Does that help? :)
