Do you remember your first chapter books? What were they? Tell us why you loved them!

Aischa | 5 comments Beverly Cleary, and Judy Blume. Not at all obscure, but given to me to read by my stepmom, and probably easy to find when we were traveling the US in a van. It got me reading, which got me into the library, where I found so many good things!

Katie (katiewaters) | 4 comments I really liked RL Stine books-the a Fear Street, not Goosebumps. I also liked a Judy Blume-particularly Superfudge.

Emily | 3 comments Nothing obscure, but I loved The Babysitter's Club. Up until I found them, I didn't really like reading. I think I liked them so much because there was never an end. I hated it when stories ended and I had to find something new. With BSC, there was always another story. But soon, I began to see the cracks. There were inconsistencies, bad babysitting advice (putting butter on a burn, giving a kid with a fever asprin), and they just never got older or faced new challenges.
