J.A. Schneider (jaschneider) How do ebook giveaways work?

Soon I'll release a sequel to my medical thriller, Embryo, & I'd like to do giveaways.

Do you post such giveaways just on goodreads, or promote them on other sites too? I'm active on Twitter & Facebook - any other sites you can recommend?

How are recipients chosen? What if you get many, many requests?

Thanks so much,
J.A. Schneider (Embryo)

Jill Sanders (jillmsanders) | 46 comments Hi J.A.

Me personally, I give them smashwords Free coupon codes. Since Amazon won't let you give your ebooks away for free.

I run the giveaway on my site using rafflecopter. Which if you look at my giveaway on my blog pretty much tells you how it works. It chooses my winners out of everyone who enters.

I don't do the Goodreads giveaways since they want a paperback copy.

Check it out at http://www.prideseries.com/blog.html

Hope this helps.

Marta Tandori (marta_tandori) | 19 comments Hi J.A.

While GR only does giveaways on paperbacks, I've found that many of the groups within GR do interview/giveaways or allow you the option of giving away copies of your book in mobi, epub or PDF. You may wish to browse the groups that would be relevant to your genre and then see if they have a section within their specific group site that allows you to do that.

Here's the link to an interview/giveaway I did on The Young Adult Book Club: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...

Good luck!
